Just curious as why....do the ratings change after the draft?

Draft is only in season mode, it sounds like you are playing Road to Backbreaker, where it neuters all of the team ratings so you have to work your way up, buying players with the currency you earn.

The team ratings stay at 31 until you go to adjust the number of gold star players. Then it bumps them up.
