Paint the Town Red:A Philadelphia Phillies Dynasty

The Philadelphia Phillies come into the 2010 season as back to back National League Champions. Last season the Phils lost in 6 to the New York Yankees. The Phillies came out of that last game looking ahead basically changing their bench and bullpen. Letting Matt Stairs, Eric Bruntlett, and Paul Bako go to Free Agency and bringing in Ross Gload, Brian Schneider, and Juan Castro. Leaving from the Pitching staff were Brett Myers, Scott Eyre, and Clay Condrey. The Phils brought in Jose Contreras, Danys Baez and CY young award winner Roy Halladay. This is looking like a huge season for the Phils hopefully they can live up to their HUGE expectations and win their 3rd National League Title in a row and thier 2nd world series championship in 3 years.

Re: Paint the Town Red:A Philadelphia Phillies Dynasty

Doc guns down the Nationals

The Philadelphia Phillies went into game 1 of the series against the Nationals looking for blood. Through the first 5 innings Nationals pitcher John Lannan had a No-Hitter until Roy Halladay hit a seeing eye single in the 6th. Halladay was being over shadowed by Lannan up to that point. The top of the 7th came around and Ryan Howard who was hitless at the time put his 1st of the season over the centerfield wall to make the score 1-0 phillies which is what the final was. Halladay finished his complete game shutout with 10 strikeouts. Lannan who gave up only 2 hits one unfortunatley a long ball was happy with the game he pitched but would of loved the opening day win. Cole Hamels faces off against Jason Marquis in the 2nd game of this 3 game series
