2011 Season Preview
Giants look to Repeat 2010!

Los Angeles, CA (AP): After a remarkable 2010 season, then a 4-1 World Series win over the Texas Rangers, the San Francisco Giants look to bring another trophy home. Spring Training is approaching quickly and we set out to talk to various players around the league to get their thoughts on the upcoming season.


"My arm felt good every game last year, I think we have a good chance to repeat. Maybe I'll win the Cy Young this year!" - Tim Lincecum, SF Giants

"Last year was a setback, we have had our share of distractions. We are under a "No Excuses" motto this year." - Derek Jeter, NY Yankees

"If there is one thing we're good at, it's winning. This year we need to win the big one aswell." - Ian Kinsler, Texas Rangers


One specific team we're watching this year is the Kansas City Royals. They hired a new Manager just five months ago and they look to bring a championship to KC. Jeremy Moore, who has some experience in the Pros will be looking to turn Kansas City into a winning program. We have some highlights of the press conference held last week in Kansas City.


Question: Jeremy, how many years do you think it will take before we see the Royals in the big picture?

Jeremy: Honestly I can tell you we're already in the big picture. We're looking to make huge moves this year. We have expectations of leading our division.

Question: How will the lack of depth in the minor affiliates effect your team in the end?

Jeremy: That is the biggest problem we're looking to correct this year. We need depth in the Minor League teams and on our main roster. Kansas City lacks depth all over the place, and I hope at the end of the season we'll have depth quality.
