Padres Acquire Salvador Perez; Red Sox get relief

-The Padres acquire C Salvador Perez for OF prospects Travis Jankowski, Reymond Fuentes and Kyung-Min Na. This will increase George McGovern's team's chance at contending this year.

-The Red Sox still need relief help after that trade that landed them McCutchen, Cole, and Resop. So today GM Mike Hazen landed RP David Hernandez from the D-Backs for prospect Oscar Perez. Perez was drafted 2 years back and has played some good 3B in AA as of late.

OK guys, format changes:

Storylines 2014: The storyline will focus on 2 aspects of daily life. The first will be the usual FO storyline. But the second will also follow the traagic and accomplished life of Mike Henson. The Red Sox Top Prospect for 2014, and MLB's #9 prospect. You will also get a background and current life update on him too. This will hopefully make you guys more into this dynasty!

Playing Format 2014: I have come to the conclusion that I will play 1 game a virtual week (sometimes more depending on the games). Every game I play I will use a picture summary of the game. I will update every series on a ESPN style format. Hopefully this will make the dynasty more organized.

Playoff Playing Format 2014 (If we make it): I will play 2/3 of the playoff games. This will give us a better prospective of the games.

Mike Henson is living the good life now. But it wasn't always that way. In the 19 years of his life, he has experienced alot. Born to a druggy father and a always working mom, Henson has dealt with the struggles of life. The first was when he was 7 and his mother died in a car accident. Since his dad could've been anywhere, he moved in with his aunt. The only thing he really had now was baseball. He grew up watching Wakefield, Martinez, Varitek, etc. But the star he lived up to was long time Red Sox pitcher, and his mentor, Curt Schilling. Schilling may be in serious heat with the state of Rhode Island, but that still hasn't stopped Henson's love for him. Henson has quickly risen thru the High School ranks and got drafted before he could even think about college. "I was shocked when I learned about being drafted" he said. But now, let's get to present day. He is the Soxs top prospect. A place which is highly recognized by one of the greatest farm systems of all-time. Henson is only 19 and has already been compared with King Felix. He got an invitation to spring for 2014 and is gonna battle for the rotation in 2014. At 19, he could be the youngest legit ace ever.
