Game notes:
Kevin Millwood was brought on to be an innings eater for Seattle to give the bullpen a rest. Clearly that did not happen today as he had the shortest of all starts so far this year, leaving the game in the bottom of the second with a blister on his finger. He was highly erratic and managed to walk three batters in less than two innings. Yes, he was missing bats and four of his five outs were due to strikeouts, but he couldn't contain his pitches and ended up leaving the game early. It's unclear if he will make his next scheduled start.
Rich Harden ended up being the unoffical starter for the day and he didn't fair much better. His command was much better than Milwood's, but he ran into the heart of the dangerous Texas lineup and couldn't make it out unscathed.
Seattle had incredible struggles trying to get any hits on the fire throwing Alexi Ogando. Six hits won't win you many games. The only run came on a sacrifice fly by Emilio Bonifacio in the seventh, but the game was long over by then. The key was Seattle had to fight and claw for every run, but Texas did it with ease.
The key for the next game against Texas will obviously be trying to work around their dominant heart of their lineup. It will be a tough ask for the rookie pitcher, so we'll have to see how he does. The other key is getting slumping infielders Dustin Ackley and Kyle Seager going as they are hitting .166 and .133 respectively; completely unacceptable numbers.

What do you guys think about the game notes? I wanted something that would allow me to move through my season quickly without having to write giant articles, but still being able for the reader to get a sense of how the games and the season is going as it's happening. Thoughts?
