King Me | Kansas City Royals [MLB 14]

King Me | Kansas City Royals
Welcome to my Kansas City Royals franchise. I'm no stranger to doing franchises, however I'm relatively new to the OS boards. Last year I did a Minnesota Twins franchise on the boards and also followed a few others. I'm hoping that this franchise will be one that I can keep going for several years in the game since you can continue from each MLB game that comes out.

Details:
Rosters: OSFM
Season: 162 games
Difficulty: All-Star
Pitching: Meter
Batting: New style
Quick Counts: Off
Designated Hitter: AL Only

Commissioner Announcement
Bud Selig has announced that Major League Baseball is about to have a major shake up. Teams will lose all of their players into a player pool and there will be a 30-team fantasy draft in an attempt to even out the playing field. The MLB believes that baseball is in need of a change with teams struggling with attendance and fans losing interest league-wide. You can read the following statement issued from Selig:

Quote:
Major League Baseball is in need of a change of scenery. As a league we have come up with what we believe will benefit every team equally from a financial stand point and talent stand point. Before the 2014 season, we will have a draft with every player from every team and the farm systems to revamp the playing field and make it more equal. This is an effort to keep small market teams competitive and the larger market teams in position to make the playoffs. All the owners are on board with this strategy and we hope the fans will embrace a more competitive league.
