Re: MLB13- AMilwaukee Brewers "ReBrew"

1ST PLACE NOT ENOUGH BREWERS LOOK TO MAKE CHANGES

Despite a 16-10 start to the season, "The Deuce" has been working the phones looking to improve the Brewers from Top to Bottom, calling it a "ReBrew".

The Ryan Braun trade rumors are still alive with Texas still the front runner with Boston reported to have dropped out after Braun hit just 2 HR's in the month of April well batting .292 with 14 RB's and 6 SB's.

Braun isn't the only player on the 25 man roster likely to be changing towns in the near future.

Backup IF/OF Elian Herrera 1/13 (.077), 1B M. LaPorta 2/17 (.118), 2B S. Gennett 8/50 (.160 1 HR 4 RBI) join backup C M. Maldonado 1/22 (.045) on the Cold List. on Offense.

In the Bullpen, RHP B. Kintzler finished the month 2-2 with 3 blown saves and a 7.30 ERA in 12 1/3 IP and LHP T. Gorzelanny after tearing it up in spring training has posted a 6.97 ERA in 10 1/3 IP.

So well those guy's will be wondering if Nashville is their next stop, now lets take a look a the guy's who are responsible for the 16 "W's" and are on our Hot List.

The entire Starting rotation. Matt Garza has been a rock start with 5 of 6 quality starts, 2 complete games a 3-1 record and a 2.84 ERA. Marco Estrada has also been slinging it with 4 of 5 quality starts, a 3-1 record and a team best 2.21 ERA well Loshe (2-2, 3.38 ERA), Peralta (1-3, 3.09 ERA) and Gallardo (2-0 4.02 ERA) all have 3 quality starts out of 5. K-Rod also joins the hot list having saved 8 of 9 attempts posting a 2.35 ERA well striking out 10 in 7 2/3 IP.

At the plate, Carlos Gomez leads the team in BA (.318) RBI's (30) SB's (6) and is 2nd on the team with 8 HR's.

The Ageless Amaris Ramirez leads the team in HR's with 9 well hitting .291 with 21 RBI's, Vet Mark Reynolds has also found his power stroke hitting 8 HR's and driving in 17 runbs well hitting .235 and Khris Davis is hitting .313 with 4 HR's and 11 RBI's.

Obviously we know guy's like Segura and Lucroy will improve their #'s, but we need to figure out how we are going to improve our bench and we have to realize that the rotation can't do this all season long, so we need to be sure our bullpen is ready. The problem is when trying to improve your team, it typically means giving up a player who is doing well for you at the time

Seems as if the veterans are holding that offense together. Nice, lets see what "Deuce" gets done on the phones.

Might be having a new franchise in-mind for myself. Considering all the AL ones I see on these forums, plus I've been tweaking around with my graphics program. Could make some nice stuff with it.

BRAUN HEADED TO TEXAS

The Ryan Braun (98/A) era in Milwaukee is over. It's not everyday a team deals away a superstar and former MVP, but today the Brewers did just that completing a deal that has been in the works since spring training ended.

Braun leaves Milwaukee hitting .292 with 2 HR's, 14 RBI and 6 SB's

Reports are he will play RF and bat #3 ahead of P. Fielder with A. Beltre moving to the #5 hole. On defense Alex Rios will slide over and play CF with Shin-Soo-Choo playing LF.

In return the Brewers received 4 players including MLB RP N Feliz (80/B) who was 0-1 with a 3.07 ERA in 14 IP, MLB OF L. Martin (78/A) who was hitting .187 with 3 HR and 8 RBI, AA SP L. Jackson (75/B) who was 1-0 with a 4.00 ERA in 4 starts and AA 3B J. Gallo who was hitting .200 with 2 HR and 12 RBI.

Gallo and Jackson are reported to be joining AAA Nashville where Jackson will take a spot in the rotation and Gallo will start playing as the everyday 3B.

Gallo and Jackson both Top-10 prospects on the Rangers Top-20 board will likely take over the Top-2 spots on the Brewers Top-20

Martin is expected to take over Braun RF spot and will likely bat #2 with Carlos Gomez moving to the #3 hole.

Feliz will take over as one of the primary RHP RP out of the bullpen with B. Kintzler being demoted to AAA.

BREWERS DEAL M. ESTRADA TO THE M'S

The Brewers dealt away SP Marco Estrada (85/B) well his trade value couldn't be any higher. 3-1 with a team best ERA of 2.21, Estrada will head to Seattle for a return of 4 players. Estrada is expected to join the M's rotation as the #3 SP behind F. Hernandez and H. Iwakuma as E. Ramirez was demoted to AAA after going 1-3 with a 6.99 ERA.

The M's are currently in 1st Place in the AL West at 16-13 with a 1.5 game lead on the A's.

In return for Estrada, the Brewers receive IF/OF Stephen Romero (68/B) who was hitting .322 with 4 HR's and 18 RBI's in AAA Tacoma, C Tyler Marlette (67/C) who was hitting .377 with 1 HR and 17 RBI in AA Jackson, OF Jabari Blash (67/C) who was hitting .200 in AA Jackson and LHP RP B. LaFromboise (72/C) who was still in extended spring training at Single A.

Romero is expected to join the Brewers at the MLB level and will likely platoon with L. Martin in RF as well backup A. Ramirez at 3B.

Marlette will report to AA Huntsville, Blash will report to AAA Nashville, LaFromboise will start out in AA Huntsville.

Marlette was the M's #7 rated prospect and was the #9 rated Catcher on the Top-10 board, well Blash was rated as the M's #18 rated prospect. Both players are expected to be in the Brewers Top-10 as Blash

Blash is projected as a middle of the order RF, well Marlette is considered a power hitter who can hit the ball to all parts of the field with improving defense.

I am excited about both deals. We trade away 2 very good players but got 8 in return who all have alot of upside.. Well Martin and Romero won't give us the type of #'s Braun produced we believe with K. Davis stepping up and hitting more HR's the offense will still be fine. Feliz gives us another solid arm in the pen and a potential CP if K-Rod melts down and Gallo and Jackson become our Top-2 prospects along with Blash and Marlette, are farm system is much improved. Also don't count out B. LaFromboise. He is a solid LHP in the pen and will likely move to AAA soon, giving us another arm there to go with Perez who we signed at the beginning of the year

In related news, IF/OF E. Herrera, 1B M. LaPorta, and C M. Maldonado were all optioned to AAA Nashville.

3B Jeff Bianchi (72/C) was promoted to the 25 man roster after hitting .352 with 3 HR and 10 RBI in Nashville and the Brewers have also announced the signing of vetran Catcher Konrad Schmidt (74/C) who is expected to also join the 25 man roster as the backup Catcher replacing Maldonado.

Nice trade with Texas, you definitely filled most of the holes in the Brewers system. I think you got the best mix of needs and potential out of that deal.

Thanks.. I think it was a pretty good deal. I must admit I am glad I am not in the AL West with Texas that lineup is pretty solid with Beltre,Braun,Fielder plus Rios and Choo.

The M pieces are not big names, but from my past M's Franchise, all players played pretty well for me and I hope they can duplicate similar #'s in the NL.
