Game Two (W, 6-4)

This game was one to remember, as the Orioles scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to complete a thrilling comeback. After scoring 2 runs in the first inning, LHP J.A. Happ (0-0, 3.18 ERA) was cruising along until getting hit in the hip with a ground ball, forcing him to exit the game. The O's immediately took advantage and clawed their way back, eventually winning the game 6-4.

Orioles Take 2 of 3 From Yankees

The Orioles continued their good start to the 2017 season this weekend, as they won their series against another division opponent. While they suffered a close loss on Friday night, they came back with excellent pitching performances and clutch offense to win the next two.

The Orioles' offense hit a wall in this one, as the Yankees' bullpen strung together some very impressive outings to stymie the Birds' bats.

Game Three (W, 8-1)

The rubber match of the series featured a solid start from LHP Wade Miley, who was brought off of the disabled list to make his first start of the season. The offense finally broke out, and did most of their damage against the Yankees' bullpen. Caleb Joseph capped things off with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 8th inning for his first RBIs since the 2015 season.

Before the game, RHP Oliver Drake was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk to make room for Miley.

The Orioles will leave town for their first road trip of the season, as they head to Boston after a day off tomorrow for a short two-game set against the Red Sox. RHP Dylan Bundy (0-0, 6.00 ERA) and RHP Ubaldo Jimenez (0-1, 4.05 ERA) are expected to make the starts in the series. OF Seth Smith suffered an ankle contusion in pre-game warmups on Saturday. He isn't expected to be forced to the disabled list, but will be out for a few days. The Orioles are hopeful that he'll be ready to go in time for the series in Toronto next weekend.
