Well, this game was good and bad... in many ways. the loss, of course, is bad. However I did manage so how to get some 3-1 counts and actually lay off pitches and get two BACK TO BACK walks.

Not that it mattered as I seemed to squander all my opportunities that come lately. Strikeouts were aplenty today as you can clearly see by the box score.

When I get to two strikes... it doesn't matter what pitch is coming, where it is going, or anything I am SWINGING!!! lol... I even went so far s to get hit by a pitch as I was swinging at what would have been ball four or three in the count...

I am now starting to roll back towards Rookie on hitting. Pitching, however, is still around HOF. So that means I suck at hitting this year more than I ever have.

ok, this is huge for me and I think I know what is going on this year. IMO it SEEMS TO ME that they have REALLY NERFED timing hitting and are FORCING you to use directional this year.

which also speaks to the possibility of them wanting you to really get to using cursor hitting... or zone if you will. well, i don't use directional but when I did a few times I seemed to get more hits than I do with must "timed" hitting...

I don't like being told that I have to move up or use a certain input to enjoy or to succeed in a game... I want to be able to enjoy and succeed at the game my way.. not the programmer's way... but seems like they are forcing those of us that use timing to have to use directional NOT COOL.

just like they NERFED guess pitch a few years ago because of Online users crying about it... well we OFFline users maybe liked the un-nerfed way it was... maybe some of us want a perfect mix between arcade and sim... I think that is me... yes it is... def... lol...

so weird, i played game 2 last night against the angels (as hitting, hof pitching) i started hahn and lost 4-3. i also used the same pitchers in the same inning durations except hendricks went 2 innings as i went 10. awesome lol

it will be another long agonizing year for us as fans of this team. which pitching interface do you use? I am finding with each pitcher there are varying degrees of rumble I need to get to keep the ball down in the zone without getting crushed up in the zone with meter pitching.

i used to use meter... now i am only a classic pitcher. i found that i NEVER let the pitch rumble before throwing... its definitely a touch thing. i have sonny gray go 8 in game 1 and give up a run on 5 hits... then i had hahn get lit up for 3 runs and 10 hits in 6 innings... its all trial and error until you find the sweet spot
