Re: NBA 2K23 - The Kobe Era Reimagined

Thanks to a hot shooting first half, the Warriors held a solid lead over the Hawks. However, the struggling Carmelo Anthony started attacking the basket and turned things around, finishing with 33 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists while making all 13 of his free throws to lead Atlanta to a 116-110 victory. The Warriors got big games from Jason Richardson (35 points) and Baron Davis (18 points, 10 assists) but in need of a big late bucket, they were stuffed by the efforts of Joakim Noah (12 points, 17 rebounds, 4 blocks).

It's hard to imagine the spacing for this team lol.

Harden is a ball dominant player and doesn't move much, but needs spacing so he can drive.

Abdur-Rahim was a SF who got his points in the paint, not off of drives or shots. Beasley is long but not a great shooter. Varejao is a versatile center, but still mostly lived in the paint.

I know it's a video game not real life, but the spacing of that team seems bonkers.

Re: NBA 2K23 - The Kobe Era Reimagined

If you’re going to compete in the tight Eastern Conference, you can’t let games like this slip away. The Knicks take a tough home loss to the woeful Clippers who were without their leading scorer Eddy Curry, 102-97. New York couldn’t handle the hot shooting of the Clippers led by DeMar DeRozan (23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists), and Danilo Gallinari (22 points). The Knicks fell behind early but rallied in the third thanks to a scorching Raymond Felton (24 points), who scored 20 in the second half and 13 in that third quarter, including 10 in a row at one point. The cold James Harden (15 points, 7-20 FG) didn’t help.

That is a ridiculously long team. What a fun group. Nothing but arms on defense and they are mostly great team players on offense (23.5 apg from the starting PG, SG, and PF). No wonder they are top of the East.

Re: NBA 2K23 - The Kobe Era Reimagined

Charlotte’s playoff hopes hit a snag in Orlando. Despite starting hot and getting a big game from Paul Millsap (career-high tying 33 points, 12 rebounds), Charlotte ultimately fell 113-108 to the Magic. Orlando was led by Tracy McGrady (27 points) and Kevin Garnett (19 points, 12 rebounds) but it was the hot shooting of Salim Stoudamire (17 points) late in the third as he hit three threes in a row before assisting on one to give Orlando an 11 point lead that they never relinquished.
