Tovarich: Love the result, polar opposite of our game with them the other day. Both teams shot very well. We cooled off considerably in the second half. 22 turnovers might be the most I've ever seen. They were so intent on getting out in transition that we picked off a lot of their passes because they were so long. We got in a real dry spell there in the second half and they hit a bunch of 3's there. Eh well. We got to 100, the players were pretty excited to rub it in their face.

Reporter: No one had a really off night shooting. Can you keep that up for another game?

Tovarich: Yeah, that's a first. There's always someone who's like 1-7. We couldn't do much wrong there for 3/4 of the game before we went cold. That was just a fluke I expect. Someone will be off in the final surely.

Reporter: Cajuns in the final. You had two easy games with them. Does that bode well for this one?

Tovarich: Irrelevant. Our 3 games with FIU all went completely differently.

Reporter: You got outrebounded by 9, is that a concern?

Tovarich: Always. But when you get 22 turnovers, they can have 9 extra rebounds. I assume the Cajuns will take better care of the ball than that. I've never seen such bad pass attempts as what I just saw. They were trying too hard for transition that wasn't there.

Tovarich: Another shockingly easy win over them. Nice to win this thing for the first time in 3 years.

Reporter: Why do you match up so well with the Cajuns?

Tovarich: They lack height down low for sure. And the big guys shot how they should almost always shoot against smaller guys. That said, I can probably point to 88 games in my career where we constantly got dominated defensively, offensively, rebounding by small guys. Then obviously they lack depth. Only 8 guys play and the one just got in for a quick minute. We have great depth. I didn't even press them at any point or they'd really have been exhausted. It's an experienced starting 5 for sure, but they need more depth and they need more height. Very athletic team, but we can usually take advantage of them.

Reporter: Joe Lunardi has you as a 5 seed. Is that what you expect?

Tovarich: Maybe we'll get lucky and move up to a 4. Big difference between playing these Memphis and Air Force type 12 seeds and maybe getting a Hofstra or a Long Island or a Boston U. Enormous difference. We'll need some luck.

Tovarich: I didn't think I said anything too inspirational or game-changing at halftime, but I'll take all the credit.

Reporter: So, what did you actually change at halftime?

Tovarich: We got tight on a few of their outside shooters. I told them to crash the glass a little. I mean, getting outrebounded 22-7 at halftime, that one's pretty obvious. We did a good job making those numbers look respectable, although I don't know what we did to make them shoot 25% in the second half. They're lucky they hit that 3 with 4 seconds to go or they'd have been in single digits. We slowed it down some the last 5 minutes or so because the tight game turned lopsided all of a sudden.

Reporter: You seemed annoyed with the refs.

Tovarich: It seemed pre-determined Suotamo was going to be in foul trouble the whole game. Every time he breathed on someone, they'd call a foul. We eventually got their starter a 3rd and he sat a lot of the 2nd half as well, but 4 fouls in 9 minutes is crazy. Shehan luckily is also really good. He couldn't put a putback back in to save his life, but he rebounded in the 2nd half, which we couldn't do in the first. Air Force obviously doesn't have the depth we do, so tight calls by the refs can't really hurt us too bad.

Reporter: Cal next. What do you expect from that?

Tovarich: Obviously on paper, they're better than we are. They're battle tested. The PAC-10 has 7 teams seeded 1-4. I see they start 4 seniors, so their team unity is out of this world. There's probably nowhere that we're better than them. It's going to take great effort. We'll go hyper-aggressive on defense and go for a lot of steals, because I can already see the alley-oops from halfcourt coming and shooting 65%. We'll need to find some hot shooters. We're probably sizeable underdogs as we'd be against almost anyone in the 2nd round.

Tovarich: Whew, my favorite way to win a game. Allow 60% shooting, brick every 3 we take, get dominated on the boards and go for steals on every possession.

Reporter: What were you thinking down 7-0 in the first minute?

Tovarich: De ja vu. I was remember Marquette last year. Suotamo's running down the lane and could just dunk it but he decides to finger roll it and miss short, then they go down and bomb a contested 3. The alley-oop from beyond the 3-point lane which I had 3 people in between who couldn't block it was a nice touch too.

Reporter: Despite focusing so much on McCroskey, he piled up the points anyway.

Tovarich: Yeah, we were supposed to double him every time he had it, and we did get him to throw it away a few times, but no matter how tight we were supposed to be on him, he was often open. Their PG too.

Reporter: You didn't give the bench much of a chance.

Tovarich: Nope, wasn't feeling them at all really. Wasn't feeling Li, but they kept leaving him open, like they knew he'd miss and they were baiting me to let him keep shooting. Lewis caught fire in the second half though and shot us out of it. A few big rebounds at the end, Galbreath hitting all 4 FT's at the end was huge. We can usually overcome one off night like Li had. But it took everyone else contributing.

Reporter: You'll likely get UCLA again for the 3rd time in 5 years. Can you match up with them in any way?

Tovarich: They've dominated us both times. We'll have to try the same gameplan as today and hope Li doesn't go 2-13, we can rebound better and they don't shoot 60% but we'll need to be +15 in turnovers and +17 in shots to eek it out like we did today if we're lucky.
