The Empire (CH2k8)

I started an open legacy with The Empire Reapers, a team I created in the Bronx. I replaced South Florida in the Big East. I only cloned seniors to my team so I could have all freshman in year two. I simmed all the games in season one, only focusing on recruiting. I am ONLY recruiting players from New York. I am going to play every game with 15 minute halves and the default settings and sliders. The difficulty will be All-Conference. I will make adjustments to the settings if I feel the need to. When I made my coach I only added 5 attribute points to his ratings (that is how you start in a closed legacy). My rivals are St. John's, Syracuse, Connecticut, Fordham and Manhattan College. My arena's capacity is 35,000.

Introducing your Empire State Reapers:
Starters
PG E.F. Ignerski (73, 6'3", Brooklyn) (#32 OVR, #13 PG)
PG Kevin Faye (71, 6'4", Brooklyn) (#88 OVR, #19 PG)
SG Dez Nelson (74, 6'3", Queens) (#65 OVR, #20 SG)
PF Lamont Egeric (78, 6'7", Queens) (#47 OVR, #10 PF)
C Johnnie Atangana (74, 7'2", Queens) (NR)

Bench
SF Jim Moody (55, 6'5", New York City) (NR)
PF Misho Soto (55, 6'7", Bronx) (NR)
C Bruce Burke (55, 6'10", Queens) (NR)
SG Trent Christopher (53, 6'3", Brooklyn) (#645 OVR, #146 SG)
SF Ralph Cobb (52, 6'8", Brooklyn) (NR)

Everyone is a freshman except for Atangana (sophomore), Soto (sophomore) and Moody (junior). They were JUCO recruits. I cheated a little bit with Atangana, he was a 54 overall and I edited his ratings to make him a 74, really didn't want a starter in the 50s.

Empire tops Binghamton, 86-71
Bronx, New York - The Empire (0-0) took down Binghamton (0-0) 86-71 in their opening game of the season. Johnnie Atangana lead the way with a double double. The 7'2" center from Queens had 18 points, 10 rebounds, 5 blocks, 4 assist and 2 steals. Kevin Faye was the team's leading scorer with 26 points, he also had 5 assists. Dez Nelson had 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals while Lamont Egeric had a great all around game with 8 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. E.F. Ignerski was never able to turn it on, scoring only 6 points and turning the ball over 5 times. The Reapers shot 50% (33-66) from the field and 54% (14-26) from three point land. Faye himself shot 7-9 from beyond the arc. The Reapers head up state to the Carrier Dome to take on Siena (0-1) in the NIT on Sunday.

Empire lays an egg against Siena, falls 80-63
Syracuse, New York - The Empire fell to the Siena Saints 80-63 in the first round of the NIT. The Empire committed an astounding 20 turnovers compared to Siena's 3. Johnnie Atangana was the Empire's leader with 18 points, 13 rebounds, 6 blocks and 5 assists. Lamont Egeric had 11 points and 11 boards and Dez Nelson lead the team in scoring with 16 points, he also added 6 rebounds. The Empire shot 41% (25-61) from the field compared to Siena's 43% (33-77). The Empire shot 32% (7-22) from beyond the arc while Siena shot 16% (2-13).

"I am incredibly frustrated with this loss" said coach Berger. "We really wanted to go far in the NIT and getting knocked in the first game in this fashion just sickens me".

The Empire will take on Wagner (0-1) tomorrow in the consolation game.

Good luck with this. I will be following along. When your guy is 7'2 his rating doesn't matter much. I can dominate with a guy rated much lower then my competition. However you are in the Big East and not in a small conference so you will at least be facing some talented opponents.
