* Chris Paul and David West head into the season looking to carry the Hornets to a sucessful season and hopefully make a deep push into the playoffs. The Line-up will welcome Emeka Okafor into the starting role as a center with the departure of Tyson Chandler to the Bobcats. Emeka who was a very good college player will bring some size, strength and solid rebounding. Morris Peterson is a threat to shoot if left open and the young spark Marcus Thorton will bring energy off the bench. Peja Stojakovic is a seasoned vetern with a smooth jumpshot, His size also gives him an advantage over smaller forwards and gaurds in rebounding. James Posey will come off the bench providing solid defense and a deadly three point shot. Darren Collison has proved to be a very special player, he will has quickness and great court vision, he will be able to carry the load when giving Chris Paul a rest. Chris Paul the All-Star point gaurd is looking to continue to do what he does, he is a nightmare for opposing teams with his quick, sharp and on point passing also the ability to either shoot the jumpshot or drive and finish at the basket proves him to be a very versatile player. David West has been great for the Hornets his relentles effort in rebounding leads to easy put backs and his well developed jumpshot and post game is a deadly combination.

The New Orleans Hornets fall to 0-1 in the season opener to the San Antonio Spurs. It was a very disappointing game for Hornets fan world wide. It seemed as if the Hornets were playing in slow motion the whole game while the Spurs were in super speed mode. Chris Paul struggled a lot going 5-25 from the field. Tim Duncan dominated for the Spurs, and it showed in his rebounding (11) and Points (18). We caught Chris Paul in the locker room and he had this to say " Sometime its just not your night and tonight unfortunatly wasnt mine. However superstars dont let one game determine their career or season. Im just gunna approach the next game like any other."

I always liked Ike Diogu hopefully he can work his way into a bigger role on your team.. Any chance you will entertain offers for Chris Paul, I saw he mentioned he was open to a trade during the draft..

yeahh im gunna try some new lineups. involving some of the guys who havent played. nut as for the chris paul, im most likely not gunna trade at the moment. maybe on the off season but as of now he is a lock.
