Season Preview

Los Angeles, CA - After having just six winning seasons and no championships in a 41-year team history, the Clippers look to become a mainstay in the playoffs. With a team led by Blake Griffin and newly acquired Chris Paul, the Clippers look to put the NBA on notice. Although the Clippers traded away a lot of their youth in the Chris Paul trade, they still have enough left that they are still expected to contend for years to come. Griffin is coming off his rookie season where he was named to the All-Star game, won the Slam Dunk Contest, and won the Rookie of the Year award, while Paul is coming off another season in which he continued to be one of the best point guards in the NBA. To kick-off the 2011-12 NBA season, the Los Angeles Clippers take on the Golden State Warriors.

Los Angeles, CA - Prior to the game on Sunday, the Clippers made a series of moves pertaining to the roster. They started by waiving center Solomon Jones who had little use and was going to be a bench warmer, sent rookie guard Travis Leslie down to the Bakersfield Jam of the D-League to work on his shooting and to get more playing time, and to cap off the moves, they traded forward Brian Cook who was going to be another super bench warmer and the 2013 second-round draft pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for their 2012 second-round draft pick. In other basketball news, the Indiana Pacers added veteran forward Joey Graham and signed guard George Hill to a four-year contract extension, and to cap off the day, the Atlanta Hawks also signed a veteran guard in James Posey.

Paul Goes Ballistic in Clippers Debut



Los Angeles, CA - Though the final score may not show it, this game was indeed a close one. As the game progressed, the score grew bigger and bigger, but it was still a very competitive game nonetheless. In his first game as a Clipper, Chris Paul stole the show scoring an astonishing 38 points and coming up with 8 steals, with 4 of those steals coming in the last 2 minutes of the game. "Obviously Chris isn't a shy fellow when it comes to scoring" Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said after the first game, coach went on to add "he definitely fits right in with what we're looking to build here." Blake Griffin also came up big scoring 19 points grabbing 12 rebounds while also recording 3 blocks, "with both of these guys on the same team, I don't know how other teams are going to be able to hold them off" said new comer Kenyon Martin. Lets not forget about the Warriors in this game, as Monta Ellis came up with 26 points and 5 assists and steal, and Stephen Curry added 23 points while also coming up with 5 assists and steals. Though this may have been a forgettable game for the Warriors, they still fought to the finish and gave it their all. The Clippers now look to show Brandon Knight and the Pistons what they have in store for the rest of the NBA.

ya I've been following it and its pretty good, the Celtics are my favorite team. I was gonna do a Celts one but you already had yours going, so I chose my second favorite team which are the Clips.
