Re: The Ascend to Greatness | Toronto Raptors
DeRozan plays the role of Hero for the Raptors as they edge the Knicks 109 to 107
The Game:
Last year the Knicks swept the Raptors in the series but this year things would be different. The Raptors and Knicks kept the game close as they seemingly matched basket for basket throughout the entire game. Neither team could really seperate and the game was ultimately decided with another dagger as time expired. DeMar DeRozan, played the role of Hero as he buried the Knicks with a well timed slam leaving 0.3 seconds left on the clock.
The X-Factors:
DeMar DeRozan did not seem to fall off much from his previous game. He didn't put up 42 points but he made sure his presence was felt in all phases of the game. DeRozan ended with a triple double as he went for 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. He
Roy Hibbert had a great perfomance as he went perfect on the field (9/9 shooting). Hibbert netted 18 points alongside his 9 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Shannon Brown errupted for 21 points as he came off the bench for the Knicks. He played well and helped keep the Knicks in the game.
Extra Points:
KG was not much of a factor during the game as he found himself with multiple fouls early on. Terrence Ross continue to struggle on the offensive end as he shot 5/13 on the field. The Knicks shot extremely well from beyond the arc it wasn't enough to get the win.
