Bobcats win 2 of first 4 in December, now 6-17 overall
The Charlotte Bobcats started off December with two wins in their first four games. With a record of 6 wins and 17 losses overall, tied with New Orleans for worst record in the league, the Bobcats have shown signs of improvement that give fans some hope for the future.
Byron (don't call me B.J.) Mullens had a big game to open the month scoring 20 points and grabbing 9 rebounds in just 20 minutes as the Bobcats started December with a 101-93 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 28 points and 10 assists but it wasn't enough to get the win for his team.

Riding high after the win over Portland, the young Bobcats were quickly brought back to reality when the New York Knicks came to town. With Carmelo Anthony out with a broken finger A'mare Stoudemire took over as the number one option on offense. Stoudemire scored 37 points with 7 rebounds as the Knicks cruised to an easy 131-101 win. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist led the Bobcats with 23 points in the loss.

For the second time this season the Milwaukee Bucks guard duo of Monte Ellis and Brandon Jennings dominated the Bobcats, this time in Milwaukee. Eliis scored 25 points with 9 assists and Jennings added 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists as Milwaukee won going away 117-98. MKG led the Bobcats in scoring for the second straight game with 17 points, Mullens and Taylor both added 14 points.
Sometimes young legs can pay off in the NBA. Even though they had played in Milwaukee the night before the Bobcats were able to put up 38 points in the fourth quarter and get the upset win over the San Antonio Spurs 109-102. Walker and Kidd-Gilchrist scored 21 points each to lead Charlotte. Walker added 9 assists and MKG grabbed 8 rebounds. Manu Ginobili led the Spurs with 27 points.

It seems like the Bobcats always manage to catch teams with a star out due to injury. However, it has yet to matter. Even without Blake Griffin the Los Angeles Clippers had no problem with the Bobcats winning handily 111-84. Chris Paul had just 3 assists, but he scored 33 points and DeAndre Jordan grabbed 14 rebounds for the Clips. MKG led Charlotte with 17 points, Jeff Taylor added 13 points and a career best 14 rebounds.
