I'm definitely following!

I like the fact that you are not tanking the season, and are still trying to compete. Any team with Kobe has a legit chance to win it all, so I am glad to see that you are going to go all in to win it this season.

The feud between Kobe and Odom seems to be an early concern. Odom may not prove to be worth the problems, and if he is causing that much friction with the franchise player, I think Odom may be searching for a new team soon after the Lakers cut him lol. I will be interested to see how that develops.

I definitely like the free agent signing of Stephen Jackson. Captain Jack has a tremendous ego, but the bright lights of LA should keep him satisfied. When Jackson is dialed in, he can still contribute in a big way. The chance to compete for a title may energize Jackson, and really benefit your team.

Good luck! I am anxiously awaiting updates! haha

NUGGETS DOWN LAKERS IN OVERTIME; 98-90

Denver, Colorado---
A well balanced team offense and defense was the answer to defeating the Los Angeles Lakers.

Los Angeles Lakers at Denver Nuggets

Los Angeles (0-0)19152523890

Kobe Bryant369-178825
Stephen Jackson323-6359
Lamar Odom325-128213
Pau Gasol327-135018

The Lakers came out firing and competitive in the first quarter but gave up a giant run to the Nuggets in the second. The Lakers managed to regroup and put up a solid run in the third but ultimately lost in overtime.

The Nuggets had a well balanced effort from Ty Lawson and Danilo Gallinari who scored 18 points each.

Kenneth Faried came up big, pulling down a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Newcomers Stephen Jackson and Lamar Odom appeared to struggle in their first game.

Jax finished with 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists while Lamar Odom struggled immensely with only 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists shooting a horrid 5-12.

Lamar Odom commented after the game saying: "It just wasn't going in. I don't know what else to say"

Kobe Bryant appeared calm throughout the game, having an impressive showing and really hauling the load for the Lakers.

There was no clear indication of any altercation between Odom and Bryant but a report emerged that there were some tensions during half-time between the two.

When approached about the report, Bryant responded: "[explicative] idiot man. How can you keep jackin' up shots and go 5-12? It's going to take a team effort to win and clearly he [Lamar Odom] doesn't understand that so what's the point in keeping him?"

While Bryant was commenting, Odom passed by the group of reporters, smirked at Kobe and stuck out his tongue.

"[explicative] idiot man."

BREAKING NEWS:
STEVE NASH ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT, EFFECTIVE AT END OF SEASON

The 39-year old point-guard for the Los Angeles Lakers played one game in the 2013-2014 NBA season and has already announced his retirement.

His career, including frequent appearances to the NBA playoffs, has included leg and foot injuries.

Reports have been circulating for nearly two weeks that the 39-year-old star would retire, but the Lakers failed to comment on the validity of these rumors.

Nash had played 10 years with the Phoenix Suns before joining the Lakers.

"Tough, man, tough to see a great player and a great competitor like Steve Nash leave the game," Kobe Bryant said during a press conference.

"He comes in, he works every day. He sets such a good example for the players coming into the league. He's meant a lot for the Lakers and we're not going to let him down this season."

So we have a little bit of a dilema right now:

Should I trade Steve Nash or retire him a Laker?

I think I could strike a deal for Brandon Jennings but it would really mess with the team chemistry. Than again, we already have Lamar Odom.

Trade Nash. Get a high pick for him, or go for a Good or Decent PG.

Or you dont trade nash and be smart. Because he will retire, and his salary for 2014-15 wont count. So u will have sooo much cap space so u can sign Melo or LeBron or anyother marquee player along w/ Kobe.

I change my mind. Don't trade him. Didn't think of that.
