NBA Changes?!?!

Wow... David Stern has just announced that as his final year as the commissioner, there will be MAJOR changes coming to the National Basketball Association.

The new changes are:

•29 Game Seasons
•A Fantasy Draft to start everything off
•4 Minute Quarters

Madness.

Here's what Stern had to say at yesterday's conference:

"I wanted to go out with a bang so to speak. This is how I'm going to do it. This will be a very interesting NBA season."

The draft is scheduled for tomorrow night.

The team I chose to be was the New Orleans Pelicans. I had the 10th pick in the draft. Here is how my team turned out:

Kyrie Irving, Derek Fisher
Rodney Stuckey, Klay Thompson, Keith Bogans
Gerald Wallace, Luc Mbah a Moute,
Greg Monroe, Kenneth Faried, Taj Gibson,
Omer Asik, Ronny Turiaf

I really like the way this roster turned out. A lot of youth and potential with just the right amount of veteran leadership. I am stacked at the PF position and may try to move one of them for a better backup PG or even a C. Excited for the season. QUESTION: Should I post every teams roster now? Or just show their roster before each individual game?

Was wondering about that as well.

Anyway nice job on your team, although Kayy should start over Stuckey IMO.

Magic @ Pelicans

Orlando Magic Roster:

S. Dalembert, C. Aldrich

Final Score: Magic 50, Pelicans 42

This was a tight game the whole night. In the end, it came down to the shots each team was getting. The Magic played pretty good defense while New Orleans played basically none. The Magic shot 58% in the game and the Pelicans shot 42%.

Derrick Rose had an insane 22 points in only 11 minutes. He also had 8 assists. He was the only one in double figures for Orlando. New Orleans couldn't contain him at all.

For New Orleans, Faried had 12 points on 4-4 shooting. Kyrie Irving had 11 points and dished out 6 assists but wasn't playing any defense on D. Rose.

The next game for your New Orleans Pelicans is a home game vs the Los Angeles Lakers, who ironically have, Kobe Bryant.
