SEASON SERIES 1-0 DET
MVP: Andre Drummond. Drummond finished with a monster double double with 20 points and 18 rebounds while shooting a scorching 8-of-11 from the field and 4-of-6 from the charity stripe. Drummond has made a early claim as one of the premier big men in the association.

LVP: Ricky Rubio. For a guy that can't shoot the rock, Rubio sure likes to take a lot of shots. Rubio went a woeful 9-of-21 from the field on his way to scoring 19 points. No way should a point guard take that many shots during a game, especially a point guard that's not known for his scoring abilities. Detroit let Rubio take long jumper after long jumper all night long.

X-Factor: D.J. Augustin. The backup point guard played up to the contract the Pistons gave him this offseason nearly notching a double double off the bench. Augustin finished with 19 points and a season high 9 assist in 24 minutes off the pine. The Augustin/Jennings backcourt played really well for head coach Stan Van Gundy.

Rookie Watch: Andrew Wiggins. The number one overall pick showed flashes and was on his way to having a great outing, but his point guard all of a sudden forgot how to pass. Wiggins poured in 10 first quarter points but only scored 3 points the rest of the way while grabbing 3 rebounds and shooting 4-of-9 from the field.

Injury Report: Nikola Pekovic. Pekovic left the game with a sever ankle sprain but came back and played the rest of the way finishing with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

SEASON SERIES 1-0 DET
MVP: Andre Drummond. Drummond notched the association's first 20/20 game of the season with a 20 point and 21 rebound performance against the Nets fontline.Neither Brook Lopez or Kevin Garnett could contain the former Huskie as he had scored at will and snagged rebounds with authority.

LVP: Joe Johnson. Johnson took a team high 22 shots (tied with Deron Williams) while only making 7 of them as Kentavious Caldwell-Pope made him work all game long. After a while Johnson just started jacking long jumpshots after not being able to get past the defense of Caldwell-Pope. Johnson's plus/minus while on the court was a -10.

X-Factor: Greg Monroe. Playing in his first game after serving a two game suspension, Monroe was a spark off the bench finishing with 12 points and 7 rebounds in 22 minutes. Monroe had it easy going up against Brooklyn's backup big men. Looks for Monroe to continue coming off the bench.

Rookie Watch: Bojan Bogdanovic. Bogdanovic was the only rookie to see playing time and his stat line was all zeros as he only saw one minute of game action.

By The Numbers: 31. The Pistons as a team combined for 31 assist on 45 made shots while the Nets only had 18 as a team.

Nice to see a Pistons MyLeague! And good start! If only they started off the season this way IRL.
