SEASON SERIES 1-0 MEM |
MVP: Andrew Wiggins. The more games he play, the more comfortable Wiggins has started to look. The rookie, who took a back seat the first two games, has put up back to back 20 point performances in the last two Timberwolves win. Wiggins poured in 24 points and 4 rebounds while also recording a team high 2 blocks. But this performance did come with Bojan Bogdanovic guarding him.
LVP: Jarrett Jack. The Nets 6th man came in and immediately started chucking and gunning looking for his and not playing within the flow of the offense. Jack put finished the night shooting a pitiful 2-of-13 from the field and 0-of-4 from behind the arc. Jack constantly waved off open teammates to play one on one ball and he failed very very badly at it.
X-Factor: Kevin Martin. After only scoring 16 combined points in the first 3 games, Martin finally showed off his impressive scoring abilities finishing with 21 points in 19 minutes off the bench. Martin also pitched in with 4 rebounds while shooting 50% from three point land. Maybe he has finally embraced his role as a 6th man.
Rookie Watch: Bojan Bogdanovic. 31st overall pick had a nice outing against Minnesota scoring 12 points with 3 rebounds on 6-of-14 shooting in 35 minutes. Bogdanovic has found himself in the starting lineup at the two spot with Joe Johnson sliding up to the three.
