Backup point guard for the Sacramento Kings will miss 2-4 weeks of action due to a hyperextended elbow. The injury was suffered in training whilst attempting to block a shot from Jason Thompson.
This will mean extra minutes for youngster Ray McCallum.
Meanwhile the Kings (3-7), who face the 5-4 Pelicans tomorrow evening, are looking to snap a two game losing streak after a close loss to the Memphis Grizzlies (91-92) and a thumping at home to the defending champs San Antonio Spurs (69-82).
Brett Brown has been fired as Head Coach of the 76ers and will be replaced by Logan Schmidt.
Fired - Brett Brown
With Philadelphia winless so far this season with a 0-10 record it may still come as a surprise Brown has been relieved of his duties due to the 76ers rebuilding process.
His replacement, Logan Schmidt, will have a tough task on his hands motivating the young squad at his disposal.
Dieng may have a tough game ahead as the Kings will look to take advantage of this matchup against Demarcus Cousins. The 'Wolves will also have to find a way to stop Rudy Gay who is averaging over 19 points per game this season.
Kevin Martin is the Timberwolves top scored with 19.5 ppg, followed by Thaddeus Young (15.3) and Andrew Wiggins (14.9).
Ronnie Brewer could replace Nik Stauskas off the bench if the rookie is struggling to contain Martin.
What the heck Dirk? 2 points in 33 minutes smh. Kinda meh on the MCW deal, I'm personally not a fan of his game. No way he should be taking 20 shots a game. Those touches should go to DMC in my opinion.

I know what you mean, Demarcus should be taking those shots but that was more a case of me getting used to shooting with him.
Minneapolis, MN. Sacramento Kings Head Coach Mike Malone has a crisis on his hands as his now 4-9 team slumped to the lowly Timberwolves.
Turnovers were the main culprit for the Kings as their two points guards, Michael Carter-Williams and Ryan McCallum combined for 14 as the team totalled 18 on the day. On the back of these the Kings were constantly hit by fast break after fast break.
The Minnesota starters destroyed the 'Kings starters as they outscored them 79 - 35. DeMarcus Cousins, who took a knock in training, was on limited minutes so his impact in the paint was sorely missed.
DeMarcus Cousins slam dunks on a fast break
The bench for the Kings did a lot better and put up more points than the starters and were kept in for much of the fourth quarter as the game was already lost.
Rubio was top of the scoring pile for the 'Wolves with 23, followed by Martin (15), Wiggins (14) Dieng (14) and Young (13).
This result will be much cause for concern for the Sacramento front office and fans alike.
Honourable Mention: Ryan Hollins - 13 points off the bench and 7 rebounds in 15 minutes.
Player of the Game: Ricky Rubio. 23 points and a constant threat. Got to the basket with ease and make some key assists.
Coach's Comments: "Honestly.....i'm ashamed. It was a terrible effort and one which will never happen again under my watch. We were outworked and gsve up way too many turnovers".- Mike Malone.
SACRAMENTO, CA. Under-fire 'Kings head coach Mike Malone spoke out earlier today in an attempt to answer doubters ahead of a clash with the Anthony Davis-less 'Pelicans.
Following a 28-56 record last season it seems similar is in store this time around as his team currently sits bottom of the division at 4 & 10.
"It's still early in the season and we've had a hard time gelling as a unit and getting the rotations and line up right. McLemore and Sessions have been injured and they are important to how we play. You can't under estimate how much Ramon's experience is helping the young guys out there".
On what's going wrong: "We aren't spreading the court. Our spacing is all off. The guys in the corners need to start hitting three's on a regular basis to keep the defence from cheating inside on DeMarcus. If he gets the space he can, and will, destroy teams. It's all good doing it in practice but its in the games where it matters".
On Line-up changes: "We've been trying a few new things out. Reggie Evans at the four would help sure things up defensively but what would we miss out on at the other end? It's a balancing act but I want the fans to know we are working hard on it and sooner or later we'll turn things around".
