Re: Motown Revival | Detroit Pistons MyLeague

These corrupted files are really starting to piss me off. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong on my end or what.

Pistons Nab Williams As New GM

Detroit Pistons Name Tennell Williams as General Manager

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. Detroit Pistons Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations Stan Van Gundy announced today that the team has named Tennell Williams as general manager. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Im pleased to welcome Tennell to the Detroit Pistons organization, said Van Gundy. Tennell brings great basketball knowledge and NBA experience to our organization and hes enjoyed success in building teams. Hes a great evaluator of talent and Tennell will bring solid leadership to our front office.

Im excited to join the Pistons organization and play a role in helping this franchise build on its great basketball tradition, said Williams. I look forward to working with Stan, his staff and everyone in the Pistons organization to put together a team that the community can support and be proud of. Im also excited about ownerships commitment to winning and their demonstrated commitment to the community.

Nuggets open with 103-101 win over Pistons
By ESPN.com
Posted Oct. 29, 2014

The Good: Ty Lawson. Ty Lawson showed off his all around game on opning night as he flirted with a triple-double in the Nuggets win over the Pistons. Lawson finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assist in 32 minutes of action. The former North Carolina Tar Hell finished the game going 5-of-16 from the field, 1-of-5 from behind the arc, and a perfect 2-of-2 from the free throw line.

The Bad: Josh Smith. "Bad" Josh Smith showed up for the Pistons as he became jumps shot happy instead of using his top flight athletic ability to get to the rim. Smith finished with a team high 16 points but he needed 17 shots just to get it (6-of-17). What's even more mind boggling is Smith took a game high 11 three point attempts in 30 minutes and only made 2 of them.

X-Factor: Nate Robinson. The Nuggets signed Nate Robinson so he could have games like this. Robinson came off the benchf or the Nuggets and poured in a game high 17 points in 22 minutes. Robinson made five of his nine of his shot attempts and he also made all six of his free throws in the win.

Rookie Watch: Gary Harris. The Nuggets 1st round pick in last June's draft made an impact on opening night. Gary Harris came off the bench and helped the Nuggets 2nd unit by finishing with 10 points and 2 assist on 3-of-5 shooting in 17 minutes.
