Rebirth of a Legacy. | New York Knicks (MyGM)

Breaking News: New York Knicks fire Steve Mills and hire rookie GM Elijah Dupas as new General Manager. Phil Jackson says "This is the one of the most interesting moves we have made so far"

New York, NY (AP) - The New York Knicks are in a rebuilding process that's no doubt from the last three seasons or so. Since the superteam era starting in 08' with the Celtics forming a big three and then after with LeBron James "taking his talents to south beach" the New York Knicks tried to counter that free agency move by signing now retired Amar'e Stoudemire to a max deal and trading for Carmelo Anthony to form a superteam over their own but it never worked out. It only got went downhill from there actually with the duo never turning out how it was supposed to be, and now only Melo remains on the team and the Knicks are now trying to rebuild around him, there's no telling when a superstar will remain loyal so the Knicks kind of need to gather up some pieces to win now, before they are threatened to lose a valuable asset. If anything, acquiring legendary coach and now President of Operations, Phil Jackson brings the winning mentality, the zen, and a great presence to oversee all the operations and functions going on with the team. Firing Steve Mills and hiring Elijah Dupas, Phil said this is one of the best moves the team has made, and he's probably hoping acquiring Bulls former MVP and superstar, Derrick Rose is the most interesting move they have made so far. This season is going to be interesting to say the least, with Rose, Melo, a new GM, and Phil Jackson trying to dethrone King James & the Cavs for the throne in the East, as well as all the other teams in the East and the dominance of the Western Conference. This team is hoping to restore this franchise to the greatness and historic value it once had. It all starts with winning games and making a name for yourself first, let's see if New York can finally accomplish that.

GM Notes: I'm happy to be apart of this franchise and just coming into this, this roster is well put together as I can build around Derrick Rose and Carmelo Anthony. If we get off to the races early in the season and be one of the elite teams like I think we should, I don't think it will be necessary for a third superstar, but that's something to look out for.

Franchise Notes
In my opinion I thought about making this franchise centered around the GM, but decided not to, the GM (me) will be a part of it but not the center focus of the chise', really the focus is on the league, players, and how my team (Knicks) perform in it. The season will be starting in 2015-2016 with the updated 2016-2017 rosters with the new rookies in it and everything. Thanks for reading and giving attention to this I love 2k and haven't had a franchise going very far since like NBA 2k11 but I hope to rekindle that fire with this one.

Game Updates: Will be weekly updates, with stats and awards posted monthly.

Next Week:

GM Notes:
Hmm... an 0-3 start, not the most desirable start, but it's basically a whole new team trying to figure out the kinks. It's a process, but we definitely can't keep losing. We need more help from the bench besides Brandon Jennings, and we need Melo and D. Rose to shoot more efficiently, maybe run different plays to get them better looks? Anyways we have San Antonio and Cleveland next week back-2-back, we could be in for an 0-5 start if we don't get things together, quickly.

Note: Forgot Rose was wearing #25, and Lee is wearing #1. The change was made after this update.*

Re: Rebirth of a Legacy. | New York Knicks (MyGM)

New York Knicks Not Only Team With Expectations At 0-3

Lol, the Golden State Warriors won't be going 82-0 this year. Not even close.

New York, NY (AP) - Have no fear New York, we aren't the only team with more than 1 superstar that has started 0-3. In fact, a team with 4 superstars have started off 0-3. The Golden State Warriors, defending champions have dropped their last 3 just like us. Losing two games to the New Orleans Pelicans, and losing one to the Houston Rockets. The Western Conference looks to be tougher than ever with two teams beating the defending champs who aren't even considered top tier teams. Buddy Hield the rookie the Pelicans drafted from Oklahoma, had 23 points in his debut outing against the Warriors, then four days later in a rematch he dropped 25. He looks to be an early favorite to win the Rookie of the Year award and has definitely put the NBA on notice with these performances. Kevin Durant in Golden State has added firepower to their roster, but the chemistry isn't the same and needs to rekindled. Much like our New York Knicks, but we were never considered to be a top tier team but after acquiring D-Rose, it was expected that we can become one, well right now that isn't the case. Kristaps Porzingis dropped a career-high 38 points against the Wizards, even though it wasnt enough to pull out the win, it's a great sign that the Knicks can find some offense outside of Rose, Jennings, and Melo jacking up shots off of screens and isolation's. If the Knicks can get consistent contributions like this from the 7'1 forward, things may be on the up and up, but having to play the San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers next week won't improve our chances of being able to win our first game. Also, we better beat the Milwaukee Bucks if we even consider our team to have a chance at being elite this year, they straight demolished us and they aren't even a top tier team, although they are a tight knit ran group under Jason Kidd, but still.... the Bucks??? Hopefully all works out next week but not much is to panic when the defending champs go 0-3 with four superstars, every team needs to find it's chemistry, hopefully we find ours.

Carmelo Anthony on 0-3 Start: "We just need to find our rhythm & chemistry, this is almost a completely new team than last year. There's certianly nothing to be concerned about yet, but losing is never acceptable. We will go in the lab work on what we need to and comeback ready and hope the results turn out different for us this week."

Derrick Rose on 0-3 Start:
"Just soaking it all in, it's definitely a new enviornment here in New York. I guess I was just getting used to the aura and vibe here but I definitely feel apart of it now after three games. It's like the rust & nerves are gone now, and I'm gonna do whatever it takes to get us on the winning side."

Joakim Noah on 0-3 Start: "Put it all on me, I've got to play better. Yes we must play better and together as a unit, but it starts with the bigs in my opinion. Me and Porzingis need to control the game from the inside and make it easier for our perimeter players. We gotta fight harder on the defensive end and all five of us need to crashing the boards. Like I said though, put that on me, being new here isn't an excuse, and we will get the job done.

GM Notes: I'm glad this article came out, it takes less heat off of me and the organization to see the defending champs go 0-3 with Kevin Durant added to their team. Eventually they will get on a roll, so I expect us to here soon, or their will be major changes coming. I don't wanna shake everything up as soon as I got here, but I will do it if the wins don't start registering.

Team Record: 2-4 (Streak: W2)
Next Week:
GM Notes: We suffered a tough loss to San Antonio, which put us at 0-4, we had them almost! Oh well, we won the last two games against an elite team that was undefeated, we beat LeBron in Cleveland for Christ sakes.. and then avenged our season opener loss to Milwaukee by beating them. Winning the last two changed the whole mood around here. After being 0-3 and even 0-4 the vibe was kind of weird in the locker room but it seems to be a whole different tune being sung after the last two wins. It does seem like the team is learning to play together a bit, in the win against Milwaukee, Melo only had 11 points, and we had 6 double digit scorers so I see the offense coming together. LeBron will be coming for revenge next week and of course we have to deal with this Kobe Bryant last season tour when he comes to New York. The Hornets are 5-1, and the Raptors are 4-2, so it's going to be interesting to try to knock these teams off and establish an elite position and the East and winning these games should be able to send that message out to the NBA.
