Meet Your New Los Angeles Clippers' Owner

Right before the start to the 2016 NBA offseason Steve Ballmer holds a press conference to announce that he has just sold his entire stock in the L.A. Clippers to a new owner who goes by the nickname RJ. This news and the fact that Ballmer managed to sell the team for $3 million, $1 million more then he paid for it back in 2014, has shocked the NBA world and sent ripples throughout it. RJ now has full control of the team and as also named himself as the team's new general manager. RJ stated at this same press conference that it is his desire to accomplish what past owners haven't and thus get the Clippers to finally win the NBA championship and become the NBA new L.A. Dynasty. RJ stated that his attention is now fully on the upcoming offseason and more specifically the 2016 NBA Draft and free agency period as he will attempt to go all out in order build a team that is capable of being your 2017 NBA Champions.

In a shocking surprise the Lakers get the 1st overall pick in the draft. Even with their odds now improved following the new rule change the 76ers still couldn't luck out and get the 1st overall pick which instead went to the Lakers. All in all draft night was highly exciting as a handful of big names were traded to new teams. Bigs names like Kemba Walker, Brook Lopez, Rudy Gay, and Derrick Favors all found themselves with new homes following draft night. The biggest surprise in the draft wasn't that Ben Simmons went 1st overall to the Lakers but instead what the 76ers did with the 2nd overall pick. Instead of drafting somebody like Brandon Ingram, who fell to the Suns, Kris Dunn, or Jamal Murray they instead made a blockbuster trade in order to find acquire their next superstar player. The 76ers trade away the 2nd overall pick to the Hornets for Kembra Walker who immediately becomes the 76ers' best player and team leader. For the Hornets they decided to replace Walker by drafting Kris Dunn with the 2nd overall pick. Your L.A. Clippers also made an exciting move on draft night moving up from the 25th spot in the 1st round to the 18th spot in the 1st round in order to draft Caris LeVert, plus they also managed to grab another 1st round pick from the Pistons in that trade, a 2017 Pistons 1st Round Top 10 Protected.
