Knicks Look To Rebuild, Rebound After Disappointing Season

New York, NY -

After yet another season in which they missed the playoffs at 30-52, the New York Knicks look to go back to the drawing board this summer.

Team president Phil Jackson has expressed his desire to trade disgruntled forward Carmelo Anthony this off-season, and Anthony, who previously stated his desire to remain a Knick for the remainder of his career, has now sung a different tune.

"I love this city, and I love this team, but if I am not wanted, then maybe this isn't the right place for me." Anthony said in his end of season press conference.

Anthony currently has a no-trade clause in his contract, but has said that he is willing to waive it if he is traded to either a title-contending team ora team missing one final piece.

Another big goal for the Knicks is to continue to build around their young standout forward Kristaps Porzingis. With Anthony, Derrick Rose, and others likely to be gone this off-season, Porzingis may end up being the main scoring threat for this Knicks team.
