Re: Prowess In The Palace | Detroit Pistons
Summary
Drummond's monster game isn't enough to push past Hornets
Fresh off the All-Star break, the Pistons couldn't ask for more than the two double-doubles from its team's leaders. Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson both put up terrific numbers in this one, but it was not enough to carry Detroit past Charlotte leading to the Pistons' 31st loss of the season.
This one was over from the minute it began, due to the lack of first-quarter scoring by the Pistons. After only scoring 15 points in the first, Detroit would prove that playing "catch-up" was not a favorable strategy.
For Charlotte, it was Kemba Walker leading the way. This was evident by the 29 field goal attempts taken by Walker when all was said and done. However, the Hornets received complimentary efforts from Nic Batum, Cody Zeller, and Jeremy Lamb as well.
