Re: A Change in Fate-A 2k17 Brooklyn Nets' Fantasy Draft Tale

It is a new day both in the NBA as a whole and for the Brooklyn Nets. Mikhail Prokhorov has recently announced the fact that he has sold the Brooklyn Nets to a young man and son of billionaires, Robert Osmond from Pennsylvania for $2 billion.

Robert Osmond immediately announces changes to both the front office and coaching staff. First off, Robert has installed himself as the team's general manager and he will make all player and personal decisions. Second, Robert has named Kenny Atkinson head coach and Jacque Vaughn as Atkinson's assistant coach.

Along with changes to the Brooklyn Nets' ownership, front office, and coaching staff this offseason NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver, announced that all teams and players will take part in the NBA's first ever live fantasy draft. Silver was quoted as saying that, "it is his goal with the NBA's first ever fantasy draft to try and create a more level playing field in the NBA." Silver said, "it is my hope that through this fantasy draft we can create a more level playing field and not have power house teams that compete every year for a championship and teams that ever season are finishing among the league's worst record. I hope to see teams like Brooklyn, Philly, the L.A. Lakers, Orlando, the New York Knicks, Phoenix, Minnesota, New Orleans, and Sacramento be able to compete with teams like Cleveland, Golden State, and San Antonio."

Re: A Change in Fate-A 2k17 Brooklyn Nets' Fantasy Draft Tale

When asked as to why he drafted Ben Simmons first overall in the fantasy draft Nets' owner, Robert Osmond, said,"it is my belief that Simmons has the potential to replace Lebron James as the best player in the league a few seasons down the line." Osmond is also quoted as saying,"I hope to build a big three around potential superstar PG Ben Simmons, potential NBA All-Defensive player C Nerlens Noel, and potential All-Star SF Jae Crowder." Osmond also spoke about the possibility of his team targeting elite level players come 2017 offseason and free agency.
