Game 1 of the 1990-91 season was a good start for the Spurs. At the end of the 1st quarter, the Spurs led by 11 on the strength of 13 points and 7 rebounds from The Admiral. Our outside shooting didn't start well, as we did not make a 3 pointer in the 1st. Turnovers were another concern. But, we went into the 2nd with the lead and looked to work on what wasn't working. With zero starters in the game at the start of the 2nd, scoring was not good. But, the Timberwolves couldn't score either, so we were still in a good spot. As we start to play better teams, we are going to need a scoring option or two from the bench to step up. Or we are going to need to trade for a couple guys that can score. One thing the second unit seems to be doing well, is getting to the line. We did end up hitting our first 3 pointer of the year in this quarter, but we ended up only scoring 16 points. But, going into the half the Spurs held a 44-36 lead. At the start of the 3rd quarter, the Spurs would score 7 points before Tyrone Corbin would hit a 3 pointer to put the Wolves on the board in the second half. Couple more threes from the T-Wolves and a beautiful alley-oop from Strickland to Robinson for the Spurs, and the score at the end of 3 would be 67-50, in the Spurs favor. The 4th quarter saw David Robinson and David Greenwood throw down some great dunks and the T-Wolves fade to a 21 point defeat. Final score 88-67, Spurs!
Minnesota Timberwolves (0-0) at San Antonio Spurs (0-0)
Unlike the last game out, the first quarter of this one saw everyone contributing. Sean Elliott had some nice 3's, Rod Strickland was shooting well in the mid range and Terry Cummings was scoring in the low post. Robinson didn't have to do it all. But, on the other side, there was Michael Jordan. Only a couple minutes into the first quarter and Willie Anderson already had two fouls. Avery Johnson came in and contributed 4 points to the effort. At the end of 1, the Spurs led 33-31. When the second line for the Spurs started the second quarter off, they struggled to score. The offense did not gel. And in the first five minutes they saw a 2 point lead, go to an 8 point deficit. David Robinson came back into the game, and even though he wasn't scoring a whole lot, his rebounding was the difference. The Spurs cut the lead to 3, and then 1. But, Michael Jordan made a move on Sean Elliott and threw down a sick side-winding-windmill style dunk, that demoralized the Spurs defense. Robinson scored, BJ Armstrong hit a 3, Strickland went to the hole for a lay-up, and Jordan hit a shot right before the quarter ended. Bulls up 56-52 at the half. Jordan had 20 points in 18 minutes on 7-9 shooting. A better mix between the starters and second line for the Spurs saw them put up more of a fight in the third quarter. The threes were dropping for the Bulls though. The attention Jordan took on defense opened up the Bulls shooters and they hit their shots. At the end of three the Bulls led 83-78. The Spurs would never lead in the fourth quarter. The fight was there, but the shots did not fall. Jordan, Pippen and Grant stayed the course and would not let the Spurs inside of a 5 point lead. Final score Bulls 110-103.
Re: 2K18: History NOT Repeated: 1990-91 San Antonio Spurs MyLeague
There has been a trade:
The San Antonio Spurs receive:
Chucky Brown(SF)
Danny Ferry(PF)
The Cleveland Cavaliers receive:
David Wingate(SF)
Michael Davis(PG)
The Spurs needed a few more scoring options on the second unit. Chucky Brown is an athlete that can get to the basket and Danny Ferry is a mid-range to outside shooter that can stretch the floor and open up the lane for the rest of the team. This move should position the team right up at the top of the league, while everyone stays healthy.

Awesome stuff, I just started a franchise with these rosters, using the Celtics. I loved Reggie Lewis and now I can play out the career he never got to have.
What did you do for the expansions teams that weren't around in 1990 (Raptors, Grizzlies, Pelicans)?

These are MJWizards rosters that I took and placed all the teams on the current teams. He put random young guys that were pretty lowly rated on the expansion teams, so they wouldn't factor in too much. It looks like they will have high draft picks though, so we will have to see how that plays out. Guess Larry Johnson will be on the Grizz, Raptors or Pelicans next season, instead of the Hornets. It will be fairly interesting if nothing else.
