Time to Finish the Job - Miami Heat Franchise (Next-Gen Reboot)

Miami Looks to Capture NBA Title in 2020-21

Miami - After becoming the surprise team of the NBA's bubble playoffs, and coming just two game shy of taking down the LA Lakers for the NBA title, the Miami Heat feel like they have unfinished business as they enter the 2020-2021 NBA season. After injuries kept Bam Adebayo, and Goran Dragic from playing most of the Finals, Miami feels they got robbed of an even match-up for the championship. The squad led by Jimmy Butler is determined to get back to the Finals this season, however they will face a stiff test no doubt as the East has reloaded to try and stop them. Miami is pretty much running back the same squad that left the bubble, but rumors of unrest down in Houston with James Harden, and a possible trade to South Beach have been a cloud hanging over the Heat's offseason. As of now Miami is preparing for their season opener on Wednesday at home against the Indiana Pacers, whom they swept out of the first round of last years playoffs, and will be looking for a measure of their own revenge.

Re: Time to Finish the Job - Miami Heat Franchise (Next-Gen Rebbot)

Matchup Preview vs. Indiana Pacers

Miami - The Miami Heat return to action just 71 days after leaving the bubble as runners up in the NBA finals when they take on the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night. Miami made short work of Indiana in the playoffs last year sweeping them in four games, and the Pacers will no doubt be looking for revenge in this one. The Pacers will have to wait a little bit longer before their newest acquisition Caris LeVert can take the court. He is still recovering from surgey to remove a mass from his kidney. Game time is at 7:00 PM from AmericanAirlines Arena.

Re: Time to Finish the Job - Miami Heat Franchise (Next-Gen Rebbot)

Heat Drop Opener to Pacers

Malcolm Brogdon scored 28 for the Pacers in the win

Miami - The Miami Heat looked rusty in their first game since the bubble. Turnovers, and missed open shots haunted Miami all night, and the Pacers were ready to capitalize. Malcolm Brogdon put in a game high 28 points, and Myles Turner had a big second half scoring 24 total for the game as the Indiana Pacers got a little revenge on the Heat for their bubble sweep with a 98-93 win on opening night. Bam Adebayo had a double-double for Miami with 18 points, and 17 rebounds, while Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 19 points in the losing effort. Miami will get three days off now before hosting the Memphis Grizzles on Sunday.

Re: Time to Finish the Job - Miami Heat Franchise (Next-Gen Rebbot)

Matchup Preview vs. Memphis Grizzles

Miami - The Miami Heat look to score their first win of the young season when they welcome the Memphis Grizzles to AmericanAirlines Arena. The Grizzles come into this game still banged up and missing players from preseason action so the Heat crowd will not get a chance in this one to welcome Justise Winslow back to south beach. Expect Miami to run the same lineup they used on Wednesday night's season opener when they lost to Indiana. Tip-Off is set for 7:00 PM local time.

Re: Time to Finish the Job - Miami Heat Franchise (Next-Gen Rebbot)

Heat Get Win #1 Behind Butler's Near Triple-Double

Jimmy Butler almost had a triple-double on Sunday

Miami - After a disappointing season opener, the Miami Heat got back to business on Sunday. Jimmy Butler had 23 points, and finished one assist shy of a triple double as the Miami Heat defense suffocated the Grizzles for a 104-84 win. Four starters scored in double figures for the Heat while Goran Dragic scored 13 points off the bench as well. Duncan Robinson had another prolific night from behind the arc knocking down five three pointers. Meanwhile the Grizzles couldn't buy a bucket on the other side of the court shooting just 35% for the entire game, and 23% from 3PT range. Miami now will take two days off before their first road trip of the year begins on Wednesday in Milwaukee.
