This is my personal account for a NBA 2K11 Association on All-Star with no sliders changed. The goal obviously is to win the first title for the Jazz, and making it a challenge to do so.
Rocky Mountains Snow vs. South Beach Heat
After the disappointing ending of the Clippers game the team traveled to South Beach with the game already written off.
The Heat are a time you simply cannot keep from scoring, so the game plan was to abuse their 1 and 5 position and keep in the game as long as we could. Defensively I would try to keep Bosh off the boards in order to limit his effectiveness (wow, he does have some serious range!).
They came out cold and I jumped out to a 33 : 25 first quarter, adding another 29: 23 second quarter for a 62 : 48 advantage at the break, mostly on the inside work of Jefferson.
The third quarter could have been my nemesis again, as Wade and LeBron went to work and kept my own production to 19 pts (to their 30). They continued to do so in the 4th, pouring in another 31 and even took the lead at some point, but by then my own offense was clicking again and I scored 36 pts in the 4th, including some excellent work by Millsap and Hayward and the usual step-back 3s by Williams.
In the end I won a tight game 117 : 109, which includes a not needed buzzerbeater three by Williams.
Who would have thought?
Jefferson 35 (season-high), 11 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl, 15-18 shooting (5-5 ft)
Williams 32 (season-high), 12 ast, 13-18 shooting (6-10 3pt (career-high))
Hayward 14 (career-high), 4 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, 2 blk, 6-9 shooting
Millsap 14 (season-high), 5 reb, 6-11 shooting
Kirilenko 5, 11 reb (season-high), 2 ast, 1 blk
Notably Earl Watson played a good game, adding 5pts and 4 ast in 10 minutes of game play, making use of his speed (maybe he isn't such a waster after all), while Evans (2 pts, 4rebs)and Fesenko played good defense changing shots.
James had 30, DWade 29, Bosh 18, Haslem 13 and Grant Hill 8 (he was traded for shortly before the game). Hill's last quarter play almost did me in...
Once again in this game I was hurt by opponent fast breaks, someone dishing a full-court assist to a streaking guard or forward. Gotta find a way to stop that...
