BINGHAMTON - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats defeat the Binghamton Mets 5-1, behind a strong pitching performance by starter Chad Jenkins. The New Hampshire hurler recorded his 6th victory on the young season behind a 2-run shot from 1B Mike McDade.

The Blue Jays drop their 2nd straight to the Rays on a sloppily fielded game by a score of 8-5. Drew Hutchison did not pitch well tonight. He hung a slider in the 2nd to Upton that resulted in a 3-run shot to left.

The Jays made a run in the 7th inning but came up short. The Jays fall back into a tie for the bottom of the AL East with the Rays, 10.5 games behind the Red Sox.

The next Jays game will be Friday, May 25th at Texas. The Rangers will send Neftali...

The Jays sweep the Mets in impressive fashion behind a dominant pitching performance by Henderson Alvarez and four relievers. Although Alvarez got a no-decision he pitched well enough to win but the offense couldn't score any runs against Johan Santana until the 7th inning when Edwin Encarnacion hit a solo shot for the only run of the game.

Toronto pitchers struck out 14 New York hitters in a game that lasted only 2 hours and 9 minutes. Santana was equally dominant for the Mets...

The Jays belted three home runs against the struggling Mets pitching staff and Ricky Romero pitched well over 7 innings to give the Blue Jays a 6-1 victory over the Mets.

Romero scattered five hits while striking out five and keeping the Mets hitters off balance all afternoon. J.P. Arencibia, Edwin Encarnacion, and Joe Bautista homered for Toronto. Ike Davis drove in the only run for the visiting Mets with a solo shot off Romero in the 5th.
