Posted 09-07-2012 at 11:55 PM by Joey
It took 13 innings, but Cleveland eventually evened up the series against KC with a 6-3 win. Carlos Baerga had quite the night, going 4-6 while hitting for the cycle and driving in 3. To make it even more impressive, Baerga's homerun was of the inside the park variety as he banged one off the LF wall and raced around the bases as Royal LF Vince Coleman ran into the wall in an attempt to make the play. Baerga completed hit cycle with a triple in the right-centerfield gap that drove in his team's...

1994: April 9 - Indians Blank White Sox 3-0

Posted 08-29-2012 at 01:49 AM by Joey
Mark Clark pitched brilliantly for the Indians, shutting down The Big Hurt and Co to garner a win in his first start of the young season. Cleveland pushed across a single run in the 1st, 3rd and 5th innings to give Clark all he would need. His only trouble came in the 9th as the tiring Clark gave up a 2-out walk to Lance Johnson and a double to Mike LaValliere. Eric Plunk entered the game and took all of one pitch to induce a groundball from Ozzie Guillen and complete the shutout.
