<br>A nine run second inning propelled the Tigers to an 11-5 win over the Mariners in game one. Colt Keith (11), and Jose Agua (26) each hit a three run homer in the second. Javier Baez (23) also homered. Riley Greene drove in two runs. Casey Mize (15-3) allowed one run on seven hits in seven innings.

<br>Riley Greene (24) homered, and drove in four, as the Tigers beat the Mariners 6-0. Tarik Skubal (23-0) tossed a complete game shutout, allowing eight hits.

<br>Justin Verlander (12-5) allowed one run on seven hits over eight innings, as the Tigers beat the Mariners 5-1, completing the sweep. Verlander is now 4-0 in five starts since being re-acquired by the Tigers. Kyle Dutcher (45), Riley Greene (25), and Javier Baez (24) homered for Detroit.

The Tigers will host the New York Yankees (70-52) in a three game weekend series. The Yankees are currently three games back of the Orioles in the A.L. East, but hold the first Wild Card spot.

TIGERS NOTES

TIGERS DFA WILL VEST
Following Thursdays win over Seattle, the Tigers designated PR Will Vest for assignment. Vest had struggled this season, pitching to a 6.54 ERA over 31 2/3 innings. Alex Faedo was recalled from Triple A Toledo, to take Vest's spot on the roster.
