Before a snap takes place, before a player is signed, before i scrape up the last little bit I found in my bowl I decided to first really get to know my team and what i have to work with. Some situations I like, others have me pissed thinking i might have to play with these players this year. Here are some different situations revolving around the jags.
1. Coaching staff next to awesome with huge potential!
* Gus Bradley is everything the jags need in a head coach, at least for madden. The dude has the player progression trait for almost every defense position. Pair that with double scouting points, and Increased weekly player xp! I'm going to keep him around for a while!
* Scout is safe for now, will be looking to change trainer in near future.
2. Life in the Elite player business problems.
* This last draft class is nothing to complain about. I feel the pieces they got were brought in to fill specific roles in key areas where the jaguars seem to lack talent. which to be real about it the jags need help everywhere. It is closing in on the time to make the decision on weather they will fit into the completely new scheme that will in turn completely change the jaguars.
* Its sad to say but god idk if i can handle Bortles. I know he is a decent QB on paper but damn I wouldnt have pick him that high in the draft. Time will tell if he will pull through or if its time to make changes at the QB position.
* Defense is going to be tricky trying to switch from 4-3 to 3-4 before preseason. The d line has some talent but they are aging and might not make the transformation as easy as some possibly younger talent.
3. Can we make it? Its a serious question.
* With so much change and not even a full off season to pull it off can we pull a winning season together. Sh*t im just trying to end the season with positive funds. If we can pull a 5 win season i will feel accomplished year one. Maybe after a solid draft, and players aging into the new scheme maybe we can talk wild card next year.
Somewhat of a quick overview of the challenge ahead, time to go to work and get the jags preseason ready time to F sh*t up on this roster.
