The Mean Green gave a knockout blow to the neighbor Rice Owls 41-31. The offense came alive with over 400 yards in total offense. A balanced attack at that. Over 200 yards in rushing offense and passing offense which gives them hope with that kind of balanced offense. After a tough first loss to Clemson, They came back home and fought hard for a much deserved win. After being down early in the first half they came back with fire, Down 4 at halftime the Mean Green came alive with 3 touchdowns. 2...

Clemson Shows their Muscle

Dallas Star-Telegram- Clemson manhandled the Mean Green on Saturday in rout to a 31-7 win. It was a rough start Coach Taylor's head coaching career. The Mean Green gave a great effort though. The only trailed by 2 scores at halftime, but never scored in the second half. North Texas kept it competitive racking up over 250 total yards in the game and were only down 7 points midway threw the 2nd quarter. But after halftime the Tigers came out quick with a field goal and touchdown in the first two minutes....

Dallas-Star Telegram- You can smell football in the air here in Dallas as nearby North Texas begins the start of a new saga with Coach Patrick Taylor at the helm. The Mean Green's first game is Saturday against the Clemson Tigers. Coming off a 2-10 season they hope to start over new. They bring back most of their starters with Nathan Tune under center and Lance Dunbar at tailback. Experience will hopefully come through for a team looked over in this football hungry state. The fans and students down...
