Can somebody please explain to me how the penalties work in the offseason? I had a franchise with the Lions, got rid of all the old guys (Julian Peterson, Vanden Bosch, etc.) and upgraded to young guys like Pierre Paul and Sean Witherspoon. I won the title with 50 mill to spare on free agents and draft picks but when I go into the offseason im 70 mill over the cap. Where did that 120 mill go? I got guys like Marcus McNeil and Zach Miller (A potential, 85+ rating with 6 yrs left on contract getting under 3 mill) and I'm just curious to how signing bonus works. I thought I did well getting young guys with high potential strapped to long term contracts with a low salary. Guess not..
