The time is near. In fact, it's never been closer. With 2K's latest attempt to dethrone MLB The Show from atop virtual baseball, it has done nothing but leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth. MLB 2K is to MLB The Show, what NBA Elite was to NBA 2K. Know what I mean? 2K cannot be too proud to admit that. That is why I think it is time for 2K to hang up the cletes and go get some new sneakers, and bring back College Hoops. You can try and say that I'm only saying this (as well as everyone else) because I have the "March Madness Itch." Even if that is the case then 2K should be trying to scratch that itch (that everyone has) with a great product. That "itch" means there is a market demand, and 2K would be stupid not to take full advantage of it. Save the money spent on MLB, restructure your staff, stop giving away $1 million; it looks desperate, and make a great game. You have the engine, you have player models, you still have commentary, arenas, animations, and a timeless legacy mode. Just completely update it, add my player, new overlays/additional commentary, and release the game in early January or late December when NCAA Tournament speculation is starting to heat up. Without competition you could have the greatest 1-2 punch in sports gaming history, you could actually dethrone someone important: EA and there NCAA Football/Madden combo. Oh and P.S. TRY AND ADD DUAL COMMENTARY BROADCASTS, that's pretty cool.
