The final transfer news has been announced for the Quakes entering the 2015 season:

Players Out: Andreas Görlitz (DEF, Trans. to Arsenal Tula)

Players In: Bernat (DEF, Loan from Bayern Munich), Christian Maidana (MID, Trans. from Phialdelphia), Kingsley Coman (MID, Loan from Juventus).

In addition, the Earthquakes have signed two picks from the MLS SuperDraft this month: Rd 1 pick Bradley Smith, DEF and Rd 2 pick Augustín Bedell, GK.

The San Jose Earthquakes have issued a press release announcing that three players have been loaned out for the season to other squads:

MID Tommy Thompson - Middlesbrough FC (ENG)
ATT Billy Schuler - Philadelphia (USA)
GK Billy Knutsen - Perugla (ITA)

In an announcement this afternoon, manager Joshua Affonso called all three "potential first teamers", adding that "we would like to see how they perform and evaluate after the season"....

Earthquakes Announce Sale of Two Players

The Earthquakes today announced the sale of two reserve players, defensemen Ty Harden and midfielder Matias Pérez García. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Harden, 30, appeared in 24 matches for the Earthquakes over two seasons and was transferred to Silkeborg IF.

García, 30, signed with San Jose Earthquakes on July 31, 2014. He debuted for San Jose on August 8, 2014 against Los Angeles Galaxy, where he scored the first and only goal of his MLS career. the veteran...

Quakes Sign Goalkeeper

The San Jose Earthquakes have announced the signing of free agent Goalkeeper Brad Knighton, formerly of New England. The 29 year old appeared in just two games for New England after seeing 21 appearances over two seasons for the Vancouver Whitecaps.

The deal for Knighton is reportedly for two years, and he is expected to compete for the team's first squad keeper heading into the season.
