While we're at it, I'm sure someone mentioned it already, but fighters need to start off with better physical attributes. Mike Tyson was not weak when he started off. He knocked out every cookie cutter opponent in the 1st round. The DIFFICULTY of his opponents increased as he rose in the ranks.

This also ties into the above point. Lets say I pick Tyson in Legacy Mode...among his contemporaries were Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield. I don't want to dismantle all my opponents and watch Lewis and Holyfield struggle...they should be destroying the competition as well to set up potential matches with me.
Yes, that has to be the biggest change they need to make. They need to have 200+ boxers per each rank and have Top tiered talent sprinkled throughout. If you see a 4-0-0 fighter ranked 174th for example, you better do your scouting(and scouting has to be more than simply being able to see the boxers ratings) because that could be a Young Mike Tyson that will rip your head off and feed it to your children. He could be rated 90+ with power in each hand.

Speaking of that, back to the scouting being vague, you could maybe read a blip of opponents last few fight, or a highlight on Sportscenter shows him sending an opponent through the ropes. Maybe that 4-0-0 fighter just signed with a big time promoter or something like that that would clue you in that he has talent. Or maybe he won the gold in the Olympics and came onto the scene with some fanfare.

Or there might not be much info on him because he hasn't been noticed yet. He destroys you and then gets noticed. Now that becomes a goal of yours to eventually meet up again after you get back on track. But now your management teams knows about him and other members of your stable will avoid him until they are ready.

We need to have multiple human controlled boxers. Imagine havinbg your friends over on a Friday night and each guy fighting a couple of fights and see who progresses, you can duck eachother or face off early. With the Hidden Max Potential attribute, some of the human controlled boxers will ascend to the top while others will max out in the rankings at various spots and become journeymen. But with some luck, and some good strategy, maybe even a boxer who maxes out at a relatively low skill level picks his fights carefully and eventually gets a title shot.

So you guy actually think that if a fighter gained 20 pounds he could actually lose some of his power BEHIND his punches ? I hope some of you goys get that and don't let it fly over your head. How many of you actually know boxing or have fought a good number of fights in your lie? Your tryin to tell me that a fighter such as Sergio Martinez couldn't increase strength in his punches simply by gaining mental faith in his powers, actually changing his philosophy and committing to fight offensive. On a smaller level... you can also gain or lose physicality and strength by the way you train and eat. Get it now?

... Toughness doesn't equate to how many punches or punshment you can take, it comes down to how you can swim out of deep waters when your going through adversity, or in other words, a tough fight and come out with a win. Who has done that more than Muhamad Ali? Name me one fighter. Maybe you could say Sugar Ray Robinson but I honestly don't think he was the underdog in any of his fights.
Never said that, your words. Re-read what I wrote.

Take this discussion to another thread so it doesn't get off topic.

Look dude... who are you to tell me what to do ? I never went off-topic. I'm not trying to argue with anyone here, but at the same time I'm not scared and I don't take **** from nobody! It seems to me that you're a little intimidated by a guy who's just as intelligent as you but has a little bit of different vision than most of the guys here on this board. Just don't disrespect me and it's cool. aiight? Now finish your discussion if you like.... ...

Re: Legacy Mode Wishlist/Suggestions

Let me par the question. Should legacy mode be more of a free form mode or do you guys wanted a semi canned experience with choices?

Re: Legacy Mode Wishlist/Suggestions

Looking at your first post fist..it sounds like you want a franchise mode in the game. For an NFL game we can choose hot dog prices, so surely we should be able to choose a cut man, trainer etc for a fight. And each should have strengths and drawbacks. Maybe some won't allow you to fight but 3 times a year etc.
