Re: New York welcome Coach Kahuma, Farve, and new future
Veteran WR Laveranues Coles has been traded to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2009 2nd round draft pick and a 2009 6th round draft pick. Coles was expected to be Farve’s go-to receiver, seems like the Jets new Head Coach Kahuma have other plans.
The Jets reportedly signed 10+ free agent rookies to 1 year deals, this shows that this Head Coach is really evaluation the players and some might not be around for much longer. Because of the move the rookies who have yet to be signed will be put off until further evaluations can be made, according to Coach K.
It seems that the Jets players have spent extra time working on learning Coach K’s unique playbook, resulting in many players learning much more than expected with only 2 days into training camp.
DT Kris Jenkins will miss most of training camp and pre-season with a pulled hamstring, officall word is 5-8 weeks.
The Pope to NY Jets have traded a 2009 6th round draft pick and a 2010 5th round draft pick for TE Leonard Pope. Jets get Calvin WR Calvin Johnson has been traded to the Jets for QB Kellen Clemons, 2009 2nd Round Draft Pick and 2010 2nd Round draft pick. Johnson is expect to replace Coles as the #1 WR and is a big, tall target for Favre at 6’5 and great speed (96).
Jets have traded K Mike Nugent to Seahawks for a 2009 3rd rounder and 2009 6th rounder. In response they have signed rookie Alex Serna.
New York Giants ship Sinorice Moss to the Jets for a 2009 6th rounder and a 2010 6th rounder. Why Moss is only 5’8 he brings his speed to the Jets, he is likely to compete for the 3rd/Slot WR and/or special teams.
Question marks surrounded the Jets when they drafted Ohio State linebacker Vernon Gholston and thoses questions have mostly been answered. Jets have officially listed Gholston as a defensive end. It is expected that Gholston will become a Pro Bowl player within 3 years and maybe even hit Hall of Fame potienal (92).

Shaun Ellis has been traded to the Titians for QB Chris Simms and a 2010 2nd Round Draft Pick. Ellis was shifted to DT during training camp but with reports of a rookie out-performing him he was shifted back to LE, only to be traded days later.
Jets went 0-4 in the pre-season but Head Coach Zach Kahuma told reporters that it was only a ‘test’ and evaluation. His own analyist say the Jets will finish with a record of about 9-7 and be in a wildcard run.
