Re: Change in Houston-The Coaching Career of Michael Smith

2008 Season-Game 16-Texans 24, Bears 21 (OT)

I really didn't think the Bears would push me to OT, but watch out for that defense! Good Cover-2 teams have the ability to force turnovers, and that's exactly what the Bears did. 6 INT's and 3 defensive TDs made up for their offensive shortcomings, but we pulled this one out in OT.12-4 is good enough for the No.2 wildcard, on the road vs. the Chargers.

CU-DBC-Coverage Analysis

NFL note-Bucs HC Jon Gruden-100th win.

2008 Final League Leaders

26 rush Tds for Westbrook-there must be some pretty weak rush defenses in the NFC. Not sure if Cromartie is with the Falcons, but he did have 10 INTs.

2008 Wild Card Game-Chargers 29, Texans 28

So near and yet so far. I don't mind getting blown out, but I hate the tough losses. Overall, I think we just neglected the running game and made too many mistakes. About par for the course for a overachieving Texans team the 1st year.
