Re: 2011 Recruiting Discussion Thread

countryboy, you hearing anything on Teague? I know Evan Daniels thinks it is 60/40 in Teague's favor over UK which I guess means he is leaning to UL. But with the presser on Thursday (is that even confirmed?) I wonder what the final decision will be?

I know UK and UL are really battling it out for Teague, and I have heard from UK's side of sources that it looks favorable for UK, but you never know. Was curious if you have heard much?

Re: 2011 Recruiting Discussion Thread

Teague appears to be UL bound. As they were discussing the Michael Chandler situation on sportstalk radio, they also were discussing how it appears that Marquis Teague will annouce that he's committing to Louisville between now and the end of this school year.

Now rumors don't mean squat obviously as they are a dime a dozen, but thats the latest scuttlebutt around here. Also..its almost a guarantee(90%) that Chandler will be playing basketball elsewhere next season.

Look for Teague to committ to us on Thursday. Evan is reporting that Chandler has a 1.7 GPA. That is pathetic. If he has a 1.7 GPA that would free up a scholarship for Gorgui Dieng.

I hadn't heard that about Chandler. I did hear that about Teague from a buddy of mine, this afternoon, but the "info" I heard on Chandler was that it was due to playing time as a Frosh.

Guess they were just being nice since Chandler doesn't appear to be putting in any work in the classroom.

Sadly I think Teague will be headed to UofL as well. However, I think Kentucky will turn its attention to Anthony Wroten, Jr. Or, even a better case scenario, Knight stays 2 years and we won't need to recruit a point guard for 2011-2012.

All sorts of craziness today with Teague. This kid has changed his mind more often than his underwear from all I gather. Looks like it will come down to the wire with him but right now there is word it will be UL.

Would absoutely LOVE to have him, but he has been a "lock" for UL for so long I can't possibly be upset if he goes there. I am more than happy to know we have a coach that could actually make it take this long for him to commit.

Plus with Cal's track record with PG's, and the possibility that Knight stays his second year, I am not worried about it. But Teague is in a league of his own at the PG spot for the next few years. Great get for whomever lands him.

On a side note, I am not sure it matters much where he verbally commits to as I think he will still change his mind a couple more times before he steps foot on a campus. Hopefully not though, as I would rather see him make a decision and stick with it, whether be UK or UL.

Re: 2011 Recruiting Discussion Thread

I think you have a better chance of picking the winning lottery numbers than you do determining which school Teague is going to choose.
