Week 10 Discussion

It's essentially the divisional round in the SEC this week. Georgia vs. Tennessee in the de facto SEC East championship game; Alabama vs. LSU for the West division title (although Ole Miss may have something to say about that next week).

A couple of interesting games in the ACC as well. Wake Forest vs. NC State and Clemson vs. Notre Dame. Maybe the Irish live up to preseason expectations here?

Big 12 gives us Kansas State vs. Texas and TCU vs. Texas Tech.

App State and Coastal Carolina get us going tonight (if you ignore the MACtion from earlier in the week).

Looking forward to turning the uga-ut game off by half time when the score is 24-7 and Tennessee is on their way to securing a spot in the SEC title game.

Going into the season I did not expect Georgia to go undefeated. I expected them to drop one somewhere but I didn't think there would be a regular season game that I went into expecting to lose. Tennessee really has their act together.

That works for me.

I initially wanted Georgia to be #1 in the CFP rankings. At least for a week. But I'm OK with holding the top spot. Pretty amazing to go from college football's biggest dumpster fire to #1 in less than two years.

Georgia's defense may not be what it was last year, but it's still very good. That said, I think we'll score. I just don't know if we can keep Georgia from scoring. The defense looked great last week, but how much of that was Tennessee and how much of it was Kentucky? I'm curious to see.

Obviously hope the Vols win, but I'm just enjoying the ride. It's been a great season regardless of what happens in Athens on Saturday.

Re: Week 10 Discussion

Didn't expect to win @ Washington, so not surprised. Wind made it hard to pass though Washington definitely did it better, other than the pick 6. Washington contained the run game a bit because the pass game wasn't there, obvious plan. Some bad penalties, some dumb refereeing, blowing a play dead that would have been a 1st down to say that there was no timeout called. Cool. Sloppy game as expected in the conditions. Hopefully can take care of Cal at home and then @ Arizona State is suddenly a tougher game than it looked a month ago.

Re: Week 10 Discussion

I just realized that Georgia is an 8 point favorite vs. Tennessee. Has a #1 team ever been so heavily the underdog?

Pretty shocking spread considering what Tennesee has has done so far this year.

On GameDay they said 5 teams had been underdogs, unless I missed the last 5 times it happened.

The #1 team is 1-4 in those situations.

Big game for Hooker. If he can win this game he has a chance at the #1 pick.
