Yeah, there's no way that would get past beta testers. Well, you hope not at least.

Ncaa 2002 was "based" on Madden 2001 but the gameplay was actually better than Madden 2002. Why then, would you expect NCAA 2003 to suddenly revert to being worse than Madden 2002? Especially when the EA rep was interviewed he mentioned upgrading the gameplay of Maden (while not mentioning NCAA directly) to a faster speed which is what I preferred about NCAA 2002.

The graphical improvements, bells, whistles etc will always be a year or so behind because Madden has been around on this generation of consoles for a year longer than NCAA has. But that doesn't mean it will be a year worse. What you are seeing in NCAA 2003 is NCAA 2002 with upgraded grpahics, (faces, smoother look) plus more college specific window dressing. Yes, you are buying this to get the little improvements.

Incrimental improvements are the American way. Or haven't you seen the movie "Tucker "?

I agree with basically everyone here. Much like last year, the 2 will be similar, but each will be true to their sport. NCAA will play different simply because college isn't the pros. Like montezuma said, I thought NCAA was better than Madden last year. I never really got into Madden last year, but couldn't stop playing NCAA. Probably because I like college football more than the NFL, so you may disagree with me. They're 2 different games with 2 distinct styles of play.

Wait!...Now I'm really confused here. Not only do we have 5 different football games but now we have 2 LBs!!?....

Who is the old LB...who is the new LB....and what's the difference!?

BTW folks......can some of you elaborate on WHY you actually liked NCAA 2002 over Madden 2002 last year? I'm really looking for actual on the field gameplay preferences.

Cause I really enjoyed Madden 2002 and thought it was the best in their entire series but never played NCAA 2002.

Good point Dre. There are two different teams that develop the games, if there wasn't the games would have such a distance between release dates. Also the games would be almost exactly the same.
