10 to 12 minutes. what can i say...i like long games. And I like realistic stats. Any game that can give me both at the same time wins. I've been tweaking NCAA2003 to do that, and so far the results have been pretty good.

I play 6 minute quarters. Like Jaybee, I don't have the patience. I wish EA had included the "Sim to the end" option. So if you are up or down by a lot, you can just let the computer sim it. I always use that a lot in the NFL2ks.

bump for the night owls.

BTW: I could never play 10 min. quarters. I dont' have the patience to wait between plays and watch the cinematics. I'd end up having 700 yards passing a game

Re: POLL: How many minutes per quarter in NCAA?

I've tried playing full 15 min quarters in Madden last year... Way to long! I don't have time for that. But my thought on the whole thing is I'm playing a simulation in the first place so there's no need to wait around in between plays. I just press "A" and get to the next play. I can still get realistic stats with 7 min quarters.

If you took out all the time in between plays while players are getting set, commercials are being played, half time, in between quarters, games would be 1/3 less long.

Re: POLL: How many minutes per quarter in NCAA?

Hmmm... I'm gonna take a guess on what I know about how long real games last. For Highschool, if they play 12 minute quarters, each teams gets between 30-50 plays, usually, give or take a couple. NFL willl have the least amount of plays, and CFL will have the most. That's because of the play clock, NFL you have 40 seconds if I remember correctly, where as CFL you only have 20. I'd say a pro game probably has between 100-150 plays (all together, counting both teams)
