Don't forget about Kendall Hunter and Russel Okung. Oklahoma State has 4 potential All-America candidates.

Re: Overrated/Underrated for 2009...

I used to think USC was overrated...then I was tired of always being wrong.

Penn State is vastly overrated, which reminds me, I miss PSU_DW2...
Virginia Tech is constantly overrated
I would say Texas, but I'm afraid of the ensuing holy war
USF and the only man to ever be greater than Tebow
Oh yeah, and another year, another overrated ND team

I think Baylor is underrated, perhaps even a *gasp* bowl team?
Michigan is underrated, because I think they'll probably finish 3rd
I'm not sure where they are ranked, but I think Missouri is still the best team in the Big XII North
Oregon is constantly the most underrated team in the NCAA
North Carolina is going to be a very good team, ACC contenders

I've been drinking the Koolaid pretty heavily over the week...but 3rd is too high. 3rd would generally mean they're contenders for the conference championship, and they're not there yet.

With that said, the Big Ten is pretty wide open this year. Nobody really sticks out. OSU is probably the most talented, but most of that talent is unproven. Penn State lost all their WRs and most of their OL, but Clark/Royster is still sick and their defense is the best in the conference. Iowa is a veteran team this year. Illinois is...hard to read. Michigan State is still building a foundation and has to replace Ringer, but they have some interesting pieces in place. Michigan could bounce back nicely, but they'll still have a freshman QB at the helm. Wisconsin I tend to think is on the downswing because Bielema is revealing himself to be a pretty bad coach.

Really hard to peg the B10 this year...but I don't see Michigan finishing 3rd.

I agree with UNC and Oregon.

I actually think Baylor is overrated. Everyone is high on Baylor because they have Robert Griffin but they had him last year and they still finished under .500. Didn't Baylor lose quite a few starters as well? I know they lost one of the best offensive lineman in all of college football. Baylor will probably finish 5th in the Big 12 south.

Mizzou lost just about everyone. They won't win the North. Nebraska and Kansas have better teams and will both start out the year ranked.

I think Michigan will go bowling this year but I doubt they finish third in the Big 10. They are still a year or two away.

I do not find Colt McCoy particularly good and I think their defense isn't that great either, especially in losing their best player in Orakpo.

I can see why you would think that after you watched McCoy set a BCS bowl game record for passing yards...and then consider the fact that his offensive line and supporting cast will be even better this season

I hope you didnt put any money down on that man. This is going to be a loaded defense, probably one of the best on paper in the MB era.

Of course, the game isnt played "on paper", but it will be Muschamp's second season with Texas. It will be the first time in 7 years that Texas has been able to keep the same defensive coordinator and system for two straight seasons. It remains to be seen if the D is going to be great, but it should certainly be better than last season.

anyway, your entitled to your prediction. It's going to be wrong though

Don't forget about the Goofs... Weber and Decker is a pretty lethal combo. And like all of their starters are seniors.
