It ain't like he can blackmail them though. Those sanctions might be something "simple" such as wins being taken off of Carroll's record and bowl wins being rescinded or heftier (which is more likely) such as scholorship reductions and/or future postseason bans...I view Lane as extremely egocentric so this simply doesn't make any sense to me, other than the pedigree of being the HC.

Of course, with Norm & Monte as coordinators along w/Orgeron head of recruiting anybody can be HC and be successful.
