\"Recruiting Assitance\"

On the coach options you can turn this option on or off. What does this mean and how does it effect recruiting.

Re: \"Recruiting Assitance\"

i believe that this is a setting you want to use if you plan on simulating the 5 recruiting weeks. that way the cpu will recruit players it thinks you need. if you plan on doing the recruiting yourself (which i highly recommend. its the best its ever been), leave the recruiting assistance set to off. i've heard that in you have it on, and do the recruiting yourself, it may actually hurt more than it helps. if you want to sim recruiting turn it on, and it should help you get recruits you need. i may be off on this, but at least thats the way it was in 2003, or so i was told.

"Recruiting Assistance" will sim your recruiting if you don't manually do it. Also, if you do manually do it and you have recruiting points left when you advance to the next week, it will spend those points for you (provided you have scholarships available). It can hurt you because a lot of times the CPU wants to go for 1/2/3 star players to fill spots, even if you're holding out for the 4/5's.

I thought it meant that the computer would use the rest of your recruiting points to recruit players for you if you didn't use all of them. Turning it off would leave those points to waste away....at least i thought thats how it work, could be wrong

i agree. i never simulate recruiting. i love the challenge of finding an impressive recruit and trying to get him to sign. i have a friend who very rarely does the recruiting. says it takes too long and he'd rather have the challenge of dealing with the players the cpu gets for him. not me, if i'm building the program, i'm going to try and get the players i want.

i'll agree recruiting is the best part of the game. usually i try and find a way to use all my points. most of the time though i'll have like 1-2 points left that i can't use.
