It's official, i will never be able to pass the damn ball

this is impossible on heisman. I litterally had nothing to do today, so i devoted my day to trying to learn how to pass. I played some exhibition games with some passing teams to try and find my groove. I played with Tennesee on All-american and i tore it up. My hopes were high

Then i turned it to Heisman and played Washington vs. Washington state. holy crap i suck at passing. on last years game i would rely on my TE fpr my passing yards, but this game is having none of it. Those curl routes are usually ok but they dont work all the time. I would pick up some good yardage on a drive and be moving downfield well by just passing, but then i would make one little mistake and i lose posession. I threw for 200 some yards that game and 5 ints.

I just came off a national championship season with Nebraska and this season i went down way in the ranks to the 96th Spartans of Michigan State. I can't get away with running the ball almost every play with this team because my QB is slow, my RB is slow, and my O-line sucks. But i still get good yards when they dont stack the line. But to get them off the line i need to be able to pass. and guess what? I CANT PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and dont tell me to sit in the pocket and wait till someone gets open, i tried that. I was sacked 11 times. I tried throwing after a couple steps, ya that almost always leads to a pick. So you know what? im just gonna rely on my Defense to stop the other team, and hopefully i can just pound the ball to the endzone once a game.

Just don't play on Heisman. All American is much more realistic with the passing game.

Heisman is fine....I threw for 500 yards against oklahoma with ABNERS heisman sliders....It just requires patience and taking what they give you as opposed to what you want. Your big play guy wont allways be open.
Spend some time in practice mode.....it is a lot faster and you can see what the d do over and over then figure out what works

Too be honest man I find it much easier to pass than run on Heisman. The speed of the defense is incredible, after 3 weeks in my dynasty I am averaging 70 yrds on the ground but 310 threw the air. I am 3-0 with wins vs Miami, Colorado State (they are really good), and Aubrun. I usally run to keep the defense honest, but most of my running comes with options and qb scambles. I try tosses, dives, counters, leads, etc.. but I still don't get a consistent 4 yrs a carry. Passing for me is easy I just use alot of shotgun, which gives me the time to read the defenses linebackers for blizes/ I usually have 4 guys out a routs 2wr on deep routes (usually post . 1 wr on a slant and a hb out on the flats. If the defense is in cover 2.. the post are open, if they are in cover 3 or 4 hb in flat is open for a good 10 yr gain. man to man slants are open usally and sometimes post are.
I think the key to the passing game is too be patient. You can't always throw deep and sometimes there won't be anything open so either run with your qb or toss her outta bounds. Throw into coverage is suicidel, they designed the game to not allow you do that. Try to be patient and hit your underneith routs and your passing game will improve. Also, run a WR in motion to see if the defense is in Man to man, if he fiollows your wr he is.
Also man try running Wr screens they can be deadly if you got a wr with speed, I took one 80 yrds today.

I'm having a lot of trouble like you man. I've tried releasing quickly but that just leads to picks and incompletions. But if I take my time to get someone open I get sacked. Luckily I have a fast QB so I usually scramble but I would like to be able to pass better. All my passing yards come from out routes and deep play action passes to my 6'4 reciever who can jump and catch really well. I am still completing only 40% of my passes against the decent teams.

I do think passing may be easier than running but just takes practice though.

ok, after another day of passing practice i am starting to get the hang of it. One of my problems was that my 84 QB Drew Stanton was injured for most of the year, but the main problem was just that i sucked.

When i got Stanton back i was ranked 66th and played 12th ranked Penn State. Stanton threw for 250 yards and i beat the lions by 8. I was getting pretty lucky tho on some of my passes, i should have thrown more than 2 picks.

I use the curl routes and then up and out routes a lot.

Has anyone found any money passing plays that almost always work if used sparingly? What playbook has a lot of good passing plays?

i like using Weak I - Curl Drag or TE Corner and passing to the curl routes, i hit them 9 times out of 10

Weird cause when I play on heisman I have no trouble completing 65-70% of my passes for around 275-350 yards. And I also avg. around 6 yards a carry. On 8 min sliders using Michigan. I guess I have just got a good playbook and good playcalling.
