I forgot about how much depth that team had at RB. Plus they had Marcus Houston, who was a very highly touted recruit. He had a huge true freshman start the first few games in 2000 before getting hurt and then he basically disappeared after that.

IMO its gotta be the USC backfield in 05 with Bush and White. That Arkansas backfield is right up there, but I give the nod to Thunder and Lightning.

I'm gonna throw in the fact that Brandon Jacobs was once a part of that Auburn backfield including Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown before he transferred to get playing time. I'd also argue that one of the wishbone backfields from the 80s would be there was well: Bo Jackson, Brent Fullwood, and Lionel James.

But the non homer pick goes to Oklahoma State. Having Barry Sanders and Thurman Thomas at the same time is just stupid. You can't argue with this. It's 2 of the top 15 RBs at any level ever.

You are an ND Alum.....You should know that Bettis, Watters , and Brooks were in the ND backfield together.

Bettis and Watters have nearly 25,000 yards rushing and 200 TD's bewteen them in the NFL.

Bettis and Brooks each ran for 1,000 yards their rookie year in the NFL.

My ND comment was based on pro production of Bettis and Watters but if I had to pick a college backfield it would be Nebraska 1995 and its not even close.
